Foursevens Mini MA Gen2 Ti - MT-G2

I bought this Foursevens Mini MA Gen2 titanium limited edition second hand. It's a nice light being very compact pocket friendly, AA format and made of my favorite material. The light in stock form is a normal a twisty with an XP-G emitter putting out a meagre 90lm or so on high. I decided to install a tail clicky switch and MT-G2 emitter 8^)

Making a tail clicky switch module & reinforcing pill.

I heat anodized the body.

I may be often am stupid, so bear with me. How did you get the pill out of the head? I’m trying to refurb an older AA mini (normal aluminum version) but can’t figure out how to get the pill out.

I can see from your pics that the pill is threaded, does it unscrew out the back of the head? I assume there is no threaded bezel to take the reflector out the front - or is there?

I currently have the driver board loose from the pill, but I can’t get to the notches in the pill to try and unscrew it with snapring pliers (the driver board is in the way). Do you use the driver board itself to unscrew the pill somehow?

Also, I love your mods. It’s impressive to see some of the mods people do to full size lights, but you do the same extent of mods to tiny lights and it’s just rad.

Cheers mate. It was a bugger to get out as it was very well glued in there, I thought I had stripped it when it finally gave way after some heat, if you look at the first OP picture you will see some darkening on the head, that is what gave me the idea for the heat treatment. The driver was destroyed taking the pill out but I didn’t need it. There is no bezel on the head.
If you can get the driver out or are replacing it then use long nose pliars through the LED wire holes in the pill to unscrew it but be careful.

OK, thanks. I’m thinking the driver is going to be trash so I’ll just snip those wires and yank it out.

Be careful of what?

Is “CRX” in reference to the car? (not mine pictured)

It’s an aluminium pill with a fairly thin shelf so it would be easy to mangle it with LNP through the holes.

Awesome mod!!!

Love the blue color and wow at the output from such a tiny light.

It must get hot pretty fast at full power. :sunglasses:

10-4. Will use the fatter inserts, maybe some heat, and take it gentle. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks, yeah it was meant to go from dark purple at the front to a darker blue/ cyan at the back to match the cyan GITD around the switch and I am waiting on an ice blue trit for the lanyard hole but I let it get a bit too hot on the gas.
That’s one good thing about living here, not much overheats

Could be

Another fine mod CRX.
Are you sure its not this one More fun.

Haha, too old for dirt bikes now, takes too long to heal.

CRX, that is pretty sick! You pulled that one off really well.
