Nice timing. I have this light. I made the mistake of using alkaline cells in it. They are now corroded.I got the top cell out but can’t get the bottom one out. I put a little WD-40 down the tube to try and losses it, but to no avail. I got the back cap off after some serious twisting. That exposes the switch. I can’t seem to get the switch out now. Would u know if u can remove the switch, and would that expose the cell that I could then push out?
I like this penlight. It has a nice moonlight mode. Simple UI. Nice switch. Seems to be a quality light. Or mine ‘was’ anyway. And I do know better about alkalines.
The Lumintop IYP365 is my favorite pen.
saypat. I took the boot cap off of mine just now, and looking at that part that holds the switch in, and then also inside the tube, it appears to be one piece threaded into a hollow tube ( I can see bare aluminum at the tail end on the inside). Getting that part out will probly require getting it hot though. I tried to get it out of mine just now, and couldn’t twist it so I assume its glued.
