Come on now donā€™t trifle. What is the ship by date, price, and can we get it without the batteries? Can we group buy? Will it Amazon?

MAP-SUCKS bump

Light is available in 5000K neutral white as well, yay!

Now you got my attention!

I contacted and they told:

$235 MSRP w/ batteries
Cannot order without batteries
Didnā€™t say if it included shipping (though I did ask for the shipped price)
No group buy

Lolwut.

Bye bye acebeam.

But they do offer good discount in China.

Looks impressive
Yet who can justify paying such price?
Maxbeam there is another forum where people seem a bit more intune with your prices
Yet thanks for sharing, nice to have a look at it!

I hope the turbo max is easier to access than with the X65 which needed precise timing.

UI is pretty much the same as X7, so double press for turbo, and double press again for turbo max of 16000 lumens.

X65 wasnā€™t similar to X7 at all even though the description is identical. The first double click to turbo is easy, but the second one has to be timed so that the light shuts off first and then comes back on. Just get rid of the double clicks and cycle the turbo modes normally, please.

There is a description on Acebeamā€™s website of the UI of the X45, and it seems the same as that of the X7. But maybe something funky is going on, I donā€™t knowā€¦

As a counter, as far as I am aware Acebeam are known for their high build quality where as Imalentā€™s build quality can be a bit of aā€¦gamble.

And the Imalent does not put out 16000 lumens, only about 12000 lumens, with reduced lux values as a result. Iā€™ve been eyeing on the Imalent since day one, an came to the conclusion that I personally consider it a piece of junk that Iā€™m not going to spend $160 on. For ā€œonlyā€ $75 more, you get much better overall quality and performance (should be verified of course).

It appears that hIKARInoobā€™s post may have ruffled some feathers, though Iā€™m confident that this was not their intention. The thought process I go through when making a hefty purchase from China is that as I enter the item into the cart, I am of the understanding that I will most likely not see any of that money again should I receive the item and it be faulty. Seeing as sending the light back to China will cost me the best part of Ā£45, the best I can hope for is customer service taking a liking to me and be willing to ship me out a replacement (only happened once) or to receive some kind of store credit. While I am able to purchase the X45 with no financial impact to me, I am not frivolous with my cash - you asked what BLF stood for, and I believe that along with it being a budget forum, it is also a forum for learning how to make intelligent purchases. The Imalent DT70, while an extremely impressive bit of kit that has the wow factor, is made by a manufacturer with an unfortunate reputation for subpar build quality. It was most disappointing to read some of the few reviews online that showed the DT70 came short on lumens by 3000 to 4000lm, and to read in the groupbuy thread of a purchaser with a dud emitter in their DT70 and the fiasco they are having to go through for a fix. I promise you, I added the DT70 to the cart, ready to purchase, multiple times since it was released, but the worry over build quality quite simply stopped me from completing the purchase.

Now we have the X45. Yes itā€™s $75 more, but thereā€™s less of a gamble with it. From what I can see Acebeam have a relatively good reputation, at least theyā€™ve had no fiascos like the HR20.

I agree.
Iā€™m going to wait for fenixā€¦

Iā€™m not too sure which Fenix you are waiting for, but I read today the TK72R is $400ā€¦ Ughā€¦
