Richard is there a chance of getting the Jaxman M2 2XAA light also?

Yes, I ordered a few hundred of them several months ago, but they didn't come in the shipment with the lights. Usually when I'm out of stock on stuff like that it's because of a manufacturing delay or mistake of some sort. Hopefully they will arrive soon.

On The E2L lights, I can confirm that the MCPCB is not glued in place and uses normal thermal compound instead.

Yes, possibly in a future shipment. It seems like a pretty cool light!

Richard do you have any news about when will be available the TPAD Quad DTP MCPB?

I may have a few hold overs, but I won't be buying any more of them. I am currently looking at other options. Cutter in Australia may still have some available for you to purchase.

I guess I need another Mountain order.

Are there plans for other color temperature XHP50.2 or news on XHP70.2? Preferably in high CRI

You’ve got a message!

I hope you find an alternative

Thank you

Wow, I was just patiently waiting for them to get back in stock, planning to use to build a P60 quad. I didn’t know they were going extinct.

Are there any other options for P60 quad builds now?

I'm working on having my own quad design produced. It is being to sent to production, but I am not going to give an ETA in case something goes wrong.

Well that is a perfectly acceptable alternative! Consider me one of your first customers, I can’t build this light without it apparently!

Just a few thoughts on board production.

Could it be time to try a test run BLF GB on mcpcb’s from the company Djozz went through for the 119 mcpcb’s. It’s pretty obvious we need a way to get custom DTP boards made and shipped and it might require 3 or more shipping hubs to get worldwide coverage. The US members can probably produce enough demand to cover one such hub. Simon is much better placed to provide a single source for production/distribution but product viability needs to be demonstrated. The demand for the 3X 20mm Noctogon is fueled not only by all the 20mm optic hosts but also by Meteor sales. Maybe creating a list of hosts that a given custom mcpcb would work with could help decide which custom mcpcb to push for such a GB. The SRK size is one such place, Convoy M1 size is another. It may also be that either team Kronos or the Q team could use their contacts for such an effort. If Thorfire isn’t willing to do so maybe they would put us in direct contact with their mcpcb source.

Another question would be which country(ies) have the most favorable shipping agreements to/from for nations in their area.

It’s pretty obvious that RMM would be the optimal US hub, maybe 3tronics and kiriba ru could be others or possibly another country is better situated for SE Asia.

In the interim, maybe we should play some more with Oshpark designs to see where demand lies.

Whoopee! 10,000!

China hub is cheapest 4 all.
If Richard will make them Ill take as much as I can without customs problems. I have though about pcbs for 24mm and 35mm quad optics but too much projects&big start quantity stopped my idea.

They're already being produced and shipped here. I'm not going to ship them anywhere else until I have them here and have checked them out myself. If someone else wants to buy some at wholesale prices, that's fine, but I'm not getting into GB drama and I'm not dealing with Chinese distribution.

Whaaaat???!!! That sounds suspiciously like a rational way to run a responsible and reputable business or something! Get outta here with that junk!

:stuck_out_tongue:

I found a handful of the 20mm TPAD quad MCPCBs the other day from when we moved, but I don't want to play favorites so I think I will list them and put the maximum order quantity at 1 per customer. I will count how many I have them list them and send out notifications at approximately 4 PM MST.

If you do miss out, remember that you can still order from Cutter or wait until we have our new production (hopefully in a few weeks).

Man that is excellent news!! Way to go Richard!! Are they going to be a dedicated parallel board or both?

I’ll wait for your boards!!

Any idea if you’ll be getting some 3000K warm white XP-L2 and XHP50.2 emitters in anytime soon? Preferably high CRI. They have some 80+ stuff on digikey I might get to play in the mean time.

Would also love to see a Convoy X3 host. Everyone needs more 26650 lights!

I do have some 3000K and 6500K XHP50.2 on order, but if you want really good color quality from edge-to-edge in almost any reflector then you don't want the XHP50.2 since it exhibits the same green/brown tint shift around the hot spot and fringes that the XP-G3 does.

In other words, if you don't want a donut hole in a smooth reflector, get the XHP50.2, but if you want color uniformity then get the original XHP50.

I'll have to see about the X3 host---that 26650 form factor used to be popular, but I have had a hard time selling them for the past year or so---they slowed way down, like maybe 10% of what they were 2-3 years ago.

Parallel, 4S, or 2S2P depending on emitter and jumper configuration, but only 3 jumpers in total instead of the million on the TPAD.

Thanks for the reply. I have a 5000k XP-G3 I got from your shop a while back which I’ve never liked, but I think that’s mostly due to tint. I much prefer warm white, <3500k.

I really like the increase in efficiency with the new generation, so I can probably live with the weird tint shifts if it is a good color.

Have an order with you for some 3000k XP-G3 bare emitters to try out to see if they are any better. Really want to try an XP-L2 also so I got the 4000k version you have up as well.

Sad to hear about 26650 lights, I’ve really liked them since I got my L6 and L2, but can’t see you keeping a stock if they don’t sell.
