Turbo mode is direct-drive. A fully-charged sanyo battery can pull it upto 4+Amps. Please make sure the battery you used didnot strict the current.

Bought this lens that's ultra clear with gasket to avoid the rattling as replacement lenses are thinner than what comes with the Dry (as recommended by another forum member in a previous post). It's a bit pricey but to have cushion and better output is my way to justify more money into this hobby.
