Does anyone know if an extension tube exists for the square threaded convoy lights? I’d love to run dual 18650 and XHP50.2 in a C8.

If it’s gray, then it’s got the old 3/5 driver in it, not biscotti.
Yep, I believe the new Biscotti Convoy driver should be red.
And of course it should go into configuration mode with 10 quick taps and have 12 mode settings to choose from.
I think if he got the silver version (If not, why post in this thread). He got gray version :person_facepalming: . AFAIK all silver versions have biscotti firmware. What I want to know is about the biscotti firmware update (discussed previous month). Which supposedly fixed fast timing issue.
Right. I got those drivers in the mail… but they were the old version. Oops. Slight communication fail. So I haven’t tested a new version yet.
The silver-anodized S2+ is nice though, with XP-L HI and a smooth reflector for more throw. I need to get myself a stronger tool to unscrew its driver retaining ring, since it’s so tight it makes my machinist calipers bend.

I have XP-L HI and smooth reflector bith biscotti in my S2+ and is perfect combination (imho). Throws almost as C8 with same led and driver.
In the end I put OP reflector back because it was too much throw for my use of that flashlight 
No, there is no extension tube for Convoy C8 but you can use 2 X 18350 setup
Maybe you should also try optics

That extra-throwy S2+ of yours vs. a regular S2. It’d be a good show of how much the reflector depth matters in throw distance.
Unless, of course, you don’t have an S2, since Simon doesn’t seem to be carrying them anymore (pity, really, it’s a fantastic host).

I tried XM-L2 with SMO reflector and XP-L with OP and SMO. And XP-L HI with OP and SMO.
Sorry don’t have S2 but would like to have one.
Ooo, purdy! :laughing: Stock XM-L2 with smooth reflector seems like a really sweet deal for me; for sure, it’s throwier than my S2 w/ OP reflector.
Well that’s a crying shame… Banggood sells hosts and functional ones with the old blinky drive, if you’re still interested. I have a 3x7135 right here by my side that I love to pieces.
How about S2+ with SMO reflector and dedomed XPG2 with NANJG_12xAMC :sunglasses:
