Sandblasting.
Ok, sell me a bead blasted version
Sand blasted look fantastic!
My bad, shouldâve not expected MD can launch Ti Lan as fast as they did the Pineapple. It was just one day.
Now the fastest they can turn this around is 3 days. Becuase they donât launch 2 similar lights that will compete with each other.
Do you have a date Rey so we donât miss out?
Bad thing always comes in double, or even more. Everything takes more time than expected. :person_facepalming:
1: Production delayed. Titanium is not easy to machine well.
2: HongKong DHL warehouse in fire, package hold, returned and reshipped. (6 days wasted)
3: Wrong estimation of launching schedule, without asking MD. (7 days behind)
4: Package was found out being shipped to MD warehouse in New Jersey, instead of their office in California.
They need the sample to take photo. (Another week)
I hope I can learn from this and do better for the future. Get everything prepared, confirmed, and then get back to you.
No guessing, estimating, optimism, only fact and truth.
Finally available on Massdrop, bad pictures though.

Wait⌠Will the Lan also be available in sand blasted version?
Yes, working on it now.
Pls poll 1# or 2#. I prefer 1#.
Neither, make it smooth with no machining
+1
OK.
I like the new version better than the old one, and smooth is nice too.
+1
Or (but probably not possible) a slight continuous concavity along the whole tubeâŚ
I guess #1 to be different. Smooth is a nice idea but that ti lan is already too slippery. You could add some rings for grip (see McGizmo) and skip fit cutouts in the centre.
I like the new #1 body very Muyshondt. Très ÊLangant!

Tried grooves, itâs ugly. Does not match the head at all.
Ok. Just anything to make it less slippery.
Some not too small âdotsâ (circular holes), scattered irregularly, or staggered regularly?

Btw, I think #1 is really good, but wouldnât match the Mokume Gane, would reduce its effect and beauty. Would be perfectly fine with monochrome material.
