Q8 Samsung 30Q button tops for USA - More in stock at GB price

It is done, thanks RobertB!

Good deal, thanks goes to you!

I usually get mine in 2 days, 3 days max. I’ve spoken to Jon on the phone a couple of times. He didn’t rush me at all. Nice guy.

So I have to ask. Are the button tops required, or is this optional?

Reason I ask, is I can solderblob the tops myself

Yes, you can solder blob if you want. Button tops are nice so you don’t have to do that, and you can get a new matched set, for cheaper than new set of flat tops.

in for 8

I’ll take 4 guys thanks

RobertB put me down for 4, please.

Put me down for 12 30Q BT's please. I've emailed a lot with Jon - great guy, real good US pricing for the most part.

I think I was the one who introduced him to BLF. Please gently bug him bout stock on the protected GA's, also his price on the VTC6's is a bit high at $8.09, but not seeing them much cheaper around in the US (MtnE at $8.29, IMRBatteries at $8).

He does have protected MJ1's though in stock. Weird the protected ones are cheaper than the button top ones.

I'm fine with solderblobbing. I just recently ordered 10 from the same seller. Good practice having batts from the same lot in cases of multiples.

I'll keep this in mind, and may order another ten. Will let you know for sure.

Thanks

In for 4, thanks

Please put me down for 4

thanks!

Interested in 12

Sometimes he runs sales. He does use nice Seiko protection circuits. I’ve bought several of his protected GA’s for Fenix camp lanterns. My kids have their own tent, and always fall asleep with the light on… lol

I’m in for 12.

Thank you. :+1:

His protected circuits are the best I've seen or heard of -- incredible really. In tests in the Q8 protos, virtually no loss of amps. I like the high amp trip points are above the rated amps of the cells too -- 10A rated, trip is 11A-12A.

Please include GA button tops.

He has the GA button top for $7.49 on his web site.

I’ll take 4 of the pretty in pink’s :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll ask him, but the recommended cells for the Q8 to maximize output is the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6 which are virtually identical. General conciseness was the 30Q, best bang for the buck.

The 30Q is a great cell although I find myself using the GA’s more in most lights. The lower current is nice since it extends overall runtime on top of the higher starting capacity. Also reduces heat output.

Either will work great though since we have ramping to easily pick exactly how bright and hot you want it.

I will just toss whatever I have laying around in mine.
