It’s easiest way to convert flashlight into micro USB rechargeable one. Internally it uses Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh cell and is longer like all protected cells at 70.7mm so be sure to check if it will fit.
So, any technical details?
What is the driver size, type and current?
In one line it says ‘High efficiency constant current circuit’, in the other it says A17DD.
Sorry, it seems this release was a complete surprise. AFAIK no one seems to have any more confirmed info at the moment.
Judging from the description it uses standard FET + 1xAMC driver with ToyKeeper firmware like BLF A6 and Astrolux S41 but that’s just an educated guess.
Voltage indication using LED under the button could be realized on separate PCB along with USB charging functionality. That’s probably why there’s duplicated voltage level indication using main LED - they did not modify A6 driver at all, just added charger board with side button and LED indicator under button. They already have experience with this driver and probably enough spare units so using that is cheaper and means faster time to market. This would mean the setup is highly modable as the main mode-driver could be simply substituted. But we will not know for sure until somebody will take it apart and do a proper review. Probably that’s also the reason it’s so competitively priced in preorder along with the ability to use BG points to get it even cheaper for loyal customers.
There must be some other item in your cart with unbeatable price - it doesn’t have any special designation beside usual orange Promo tag.
