updated: "unbranded Prototype" of UTorch UT03

Im still waiting on a light like this with three MT-G2 emitters and a 3,000 lm second level high (aka) an actual usable not just a short term blast.

and while im at bitching make it a flood monster.

I hear ya. Kind of doubt it will happen… lumens war… so it’s XHP70… shame…

However,

Haikelite is about to release the SC02. Single 26650 with MT-G2 emitter… Sweet move.

I was going to try to edit the OP to include only that one pic and make a snarky comment, but you beat me to it.

Would be funny to see the driver and other parts labelled:

Manker
UTorch

Manker, does manker have any light like this light
I hope it’s 10000lumen OTF

Martin, please don’t burden our pocket!

Man, those reflectors are shallow. Mule type flood almost. I like flood

wall of light…should be a lot cheaper version than nova mm or marauder x7…
like the 2 tone style finishing.

The two tone looks lovely.
The light looks really compact - TN36 style.
The soldering makes me feel happy about myself.

It looks like it’s just going to shout light angrily into the air in a spray and pray kind of fashion. You’ve got to think this is going to be around the 8k lumen mark with just a wall of light.

You’ll burn your hand on the body in no time that’s for sure.

It looks like a fun light to have but it’ll be a battery muncher for sure and they’ll have to have a decent step down on it before you start to cook stuff with it.

utorch, manker, manker, utorch… who knows

cant wait to snatch this fat boy for my collection

Seems great , really compact .

I saw that the head is very poorly made
The reflector is dirty, the solder is not clean, the wire is small(it should be used for 1000 lumen light, not xhp70*3 light)

I wonder why reflector is not OP one.

It’s 12V, so the wires don’t need to be as thick. Industrial facilities are wired for 240V or 480V, often just to lower the cost on copper. That said, I hope that’s a constriction because that would be an easy upgrade.

Even with 12V, it’s nearly 100w, the current is about 8-10A, that’s high for a small wire like that

Reflector reminds me of the Nitecore TM11, where there are also black plastic bits with Nitecore branding on it.

Guys, check out the pic of the UT03 on GearBest’s site (scroll down). It looks like it has MK34’s battery tube (3x18650)…

This post is quite old , it was published when i had the ut01/ut02 groupbuy here .

Aha. Ok. Interesting. I mean back then there was another flirting going on between Utorch and Manker…

will it be two tone color like that?

Nice… Looking forward to further impressions. Some questions…

>How is the PWM?
>How is the parasitic drain?
>Is there a LOTC?
