Review: Manker E02 (AAA, L shaped, XP-G3 200+ Lumens)

yes, it's on our plan, I think you will like it.

Great, hopefully it will take protected 14500 and have lower working voltage. My E11 doesn’t power on if it goes below 1.2v using Eneloops

I can't find the E02 anywhere...anybody of the business people here willing please to make a groupbuy for that ... LOL :P

ALso would be possible maybe for the people who received the samples from Manker to test it with a 10440?

Hi theBo, I think this is a flashlight for good NiMH batteries (is the most powerful 1xaaa NiMH at this moment) . Have no sense for me, try in this the 10440 not reliables and insecure batteries…

mmm I guess you have your point too! Sure for everyday use makes little sense Good thought. Thank you It was just for having an idea maybe.

Anyway i see from the graphs that it can mantain high (just 65lm) for 100 minutes or so. Am i right if i say that seems less efficient than let's say Jetbeam μ which can mantain 100ish lumens for almost 85 min?

And i like the engineering mode a lot! Also The fireflymode is a real plus in this category of light

Sorry Sir:

1. here we are talking about realistic values, you can see Budda runtime graph and this that is mine :

2. In other part you are talking about a big lie: 100 lumens for 85 minutes Jet-u…ha,ha,ha…sorry. You can see Budda Review of Jet-u, with a 950mA battery get 55 minutes of 100 lumens with the Jet-u.
Be reallistic, JetBeam offers a joke dates for his runtimes and lumens  ……

The E02 is awesome well regulated, incredible value for runtime with NiMH, and incredible 3 minutes of flat curve with more than 200 lumens, with reliable, environmentally friendly and quite safe aaa NiMH batteries (eneloop, fujitsu, etc)

Regards

Hi trevi, i don't know how you get so upset like i'm a salesman from jetbeam, well i'm not. I'm an end user like many others here, and i'm not so lucky to get free samples to test, so sorry, i don't know why you turned out so bad, anyway i based my conclusions on others review. I checked the review in the OP for the E02 and for the jet beam micro which seems causes you so trouble i checked this review http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?420910-Jetbeam-Jet-%26%23956%3B-(XP-G2-S2-1xAAA)-amp-Jet-1-MK-(XP-G2-S2-1xAA)-Review

I repeat i don't know how you could turned out so bad but i just referred to OTHERS review.

EDIT and if you read my previous post i said clearly that i would be in for a groupbuy for the E02

EDIT2 and FYI i do like a lot your reviews and i appreciate your efforts...to be clear.

Hello Sorry for the misunderstood:

1. I’m not lucky to get free samples for test. I have bad luck, because it takes many hours of work …

2. Anyway, the vast majority of my reviews, are made with flashlights that I bought with my money as an end user, just like you. (Only then I dedicate some of my hours of free time to do some review like the ones you see in my title.)

3. I bought 2 Jet-u with my money and it was not worth reviewing, it is a nice flashlight, and acceptable for the price, but nothing special. I’m really a little annoyed with JetBeam, because their runtime data is exaggeratedly false, I’ve ever commented to jetbeam by email, and they’ve simply not answered or simply told me their data was fine. And sometimes (this is not the case, the discrepancy is not of the worst) have put real nonsense in their pictures of lumens and runtimes.

My apologies if you have been annoying my way of commenting things, it’s just that I do not work for anyone, the reviews are very labor-intensive and I usually do them with samples I buy just like you as an end user.

@Mankerlight
If you make a AA version of the Manker E02 and it can take LiIons, please make sure it can eat protected 14500 with 52mm length.

cute little light

thanks for the photo

looks like the head sticks out above the pocket clip, so the light could be clipped inside the pocket and still show light outside the pocket

the clip would also work on a shirt or jacket, so even though there is no headband, there are plenty of options to use the light hands free

I found these specs on ebay:
Brightness levels & runtime:
Moonlight 0.6lumens 84hrs
Low 16lumens 10hrs
High 70lumens 2hrs
Turbo 220-70lumens 3min-1.8hrs
Strobe 220lumens

the E02 red looks the same to me as the LAD. I like my Red Lad a lot.

I have zero interest in 10440 in unprotected lights like the Tool, Eneloop works great for me

I like the option to buy N219c, like I have in my LAD

and yes, the High CRI reduces the brightness by about 30%. I use AAA lights indoors, seldom need more than medium. I like the sublumen option too.

Another winner for Manker… will I buy one, probably not, unless it comes in Copper

pet peeve, Dragon breath would be better as a Red led, Im not a fan of Blue light, thats why I buy Nichias, for the reds, not the blues.

Im very impressed by the regulated output
have zero interest in Turbo, thats a quick way to kill a tiny battery

if I want 200 lumens, I don’t buy AAA or AA powered lights… that lumen range deserves a higher capacity battery, so it can run longer than 3 minutes, once per charge…

the Turbo mode clearly has appeal to many buyers that are attracted by high lumen specs… my suggestion to those people, and the ones wanting to run LiIon, is to look at a light that uses 18650 cells :-)… thats Real Brightness, not just a tease for 3 minutes.

It looks good in red too!

iffn the clip were able to clear the raised head area, so as to allow the light to be inside my pocket and to shine out, I’d be all over this

look at the photo, the clip ends below the LED
that means it would stick out above the pocket as you requested

Great review! Is there a time frame for the AA E02 to come to market or is it still a concept?

I see it differently, the clip is taller than the smaller body of the light and could not rotate around the expanded head in the front.

thanks, that makes sense now that I look at it more closely

well, thanks for at least accepting what I was trying to say

I actually like this light and am trying to justify my buying another AAA

think I’ll wait for the AA

Hmmm…
The clip seems to be typical for Mateminco (Manker, Utorch, Astrolux)
Too thick metal is used and it’s bulky and cheap looking and they are basically crap.
They scratch the anodizing, they don’t fit properly, they’re too sturdy.
Best to throw them away immediately, and i sincerely hope they’re not already clipped on the light in the box.

Other than that, i can’t wait to buy one of these sweeties.

nice AAA light. Is this available yet?

You can purchase it today, just search ebay for Manker E02. Ships from china, but it is available.
