TrustFire X6 SST-90 5-Mode 2300 Lumens LED Flashlight (3x18650)

there is a video for this flashlight : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P77d5HAY26M.

the length is 357mm, a little longer than Olight SR90

this is another video for Olight SR90 from lightake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDNIHe1DYYk

Thanks for the video. Can you get a tailcap reading with a digital multimeter and tell us how many amps it pulls? Also tell us the voltage of the batteries after the test.

Can you please compare the two lights that you mentioned outdoors (Trustfire X6 and Olight SR90) so we can see how the beam patterns are and which one is brighter? A quick video of this would be great.

This light seems VERY interesting, since i'm interested mainly in high power flashlights.

Although my recent experience with Trustfire ST-50 don't promise good. My readings was about 3000 lux in lightbox and current draw was only 1.8A at tailcap. Luckily i found a buyer for that light, won't miss it.

So i'm highly suspicius that this light is even close to 2000 lumens...

Its probably quite under-driven with only 3 x 18650's. I'm still waiting for a tailcap confirmation and beam shot comparisons from the seller (who has historically never answered any of my questions). "Par for the course", I would say.

I wonder why Daniel wouldn't answer ?

If it's underdriven then it would be better not to reveal it to customers... someone who doesn't know these things would buy it.

If no answer is given then it's probably so...

Oh! They have improved after all. Very nice

It was an email about returning money for an order canceled weeks ago. It's not something they can get away with.

They then went back to ignoring me on the next email about the xp-g I got that fell apart. So, rest assured they haven't changed at all.

Although I don't do a lot of business with them, I have always had my emails and questions promptly answered by KD.

Where do you contact them from? They have several avenues available on their site.

Have you ever gotten an rma from them?

KD are selling it for $140.50

Now we need someone to be guinea pig and make a review!

Who would dare to take the challenge ?

We need to start some 'BLF funds for reviews', not necessarily for this light (because it's so expensive), but in general. I would easily pay 0.5-2 $ to see some reviews of certain lights that haven't been reviewed so far. The reviewer gets a free light, which is randomly bought (read - not selected by vendor). So all sides win. Or is that a bad idea?

Nice find, and so much cheaper!

Or some dealer could send one of us a test sample for reviewing and testing.

Part of the deal is that the sample is sended back after testing.

I think that lightake would be a good candidate for this because the free advertising space that they are getting here...

Err.. I'd think 10 times before ordering a $140 flashlight through the net.

When spending serious money, I'd like to be able to test out the item first

The only cheap and safe Chinese reseller that I know of that makes it cost effective to return merchandise within the US is DX. They can usually price match their competition and refund, exchange or credit broken or returned merchandise. If the merchandise is broken, they will pay up to 1/3rd the cost of the item to return it to their US location.

If DX carried this light and the reviews were good, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Unfortunately, I seriously doubt it could do well on only 3 x 18650's.

They have increased the price to $149.99
