Sorry yes , after turning of the light , it will come on in the same level , if you wait 15 seconds ... any sooner and it will start in the next mode ...
Got mine today...wow all this fancy documentation just for a $9 sale. That in itself is somewhat impressive...as if DD is trying to start off with new customers with a good first impression. Mine says Ultrafire on it and is an SMO reflector, not the LOP that I was expecting.
I was going to wait for 40 days or at least until Friday, so yeah maybe 2 days as well. (its Wednesday night here)
I have about $200 worth of stuff ordered from them split over 4 orders, then they marked nearly all of them as partial shipments and only took pics of 1 item in each when I ordered multiple diffrent items. And one hasn't even shipped yet.
I was thinking of putting together a light with a Solarforce body, what is the best budget drop in to use? This one from DD or the UF from Manafont? Wasn't there 2 different versions on DD (one smooth and one with an orange reflector)? Not really too sure about the differences as this stuff is very new to me so if someone could explain that would be great.
The ones I bought aren't as good as others here received. I'm surprised some of you are seeing 3.5A draw. On an Xtar 18700 mine only pull 2A where the same light with a UF XM-L drop-in pulls 2.7A.
Side by side comparison the DD drop-ins are noticeably less bright.
All my dino's XM-L's (with in 504B bodies) were around 2A. The only exception was the single mode (ordered a 5 mode) that drew 1,4A. Funny tho.
Even R5's single modes were preforming lower than wanted (800-850mA but those would accept 8,4V apparently. Never tried though.)
At one time i was happy to have recieved one with an off center XM-L. Turns out it the star was 12mm one so i took it out and put a 16mm in it. I always wanted a 12mm star XM-L. Now i have it. :) Perhaps i will try it in my C3 SS with stock driver.
