Hmm, the heavy LED missalignment is a bit disappointing, the clip is too beefy and the red color is ugly… but from a practical use side it´s surely not a bad light. Does it fit into a normal 18650 headlamp headband? I guess not…

Arrived the unit Manker E02 Nichia, that I bought in Manker store (ebay), the stock package is nicest than the preproduction samples.
This is bought for me and not provided by manufacturer. The quality is the same than the production unit.
You can see that below the engrave Manker on the head, now insert the word “light”, nicest!

I don’t know when he bought his from ebay, but it was before me, probably May 12. I bought mine May 13, and best I can tell it is somewhere between SHENZHEN and Los Angeles. It left SHENZHEN early morning May 19. Wondering if you could estimate when the journey to Los Angeles would be complete?

Here my values for the nichia 219 version, and comparison with the XP-G3:

Is really a good result for the nichia.

The most important diference for me is that, with the nichia, all moonlight modes are below 1 lumen, with my pre-production sample (XP-G3) the 2 hightest modes of moonlight option offer over 1 lumen.
I do not know if all XP-G3 have option for lowest mode of more than 1 lumen or only the pre-production samples.

Thanks Trevi! Interesting on the low lumen output. Based on my guess for a 30% reduction in lumens, I was thinking the low would be around 10 or so. The 7 lumens you measure is identical to the E01 on low mode. Guess I should not be surprised, why redesign when you have the circuit already.

One question about the moonlight mode measurements, 1.5 and 0.5. Are these for the brightest setting which can be programmed for both lights? Based on what you wrote I think so.

Sorry:

- for my XP-G3 pre-production, there are 21 modes elegibles for moonlight, I can only measure the 2 highest, both are over 1 lumen.

  • With the nichia 219C, stock unit, there are 21 modes elegibles for moonlight and I can not measure any with my equipment, I think that the highest of this is less than 1 lumen.

I do not know if this diference is for stock / pre-production units or this diference is between XP-G3 / nichia units.

Here are some of my measurements :
Levels Lumens Range (minimum - maximum)
1 - 10 0 - 0.4
11-16 0.4 - 0.7
17-21 0.7 - 4

For example lvl 5/21 is between 0 and 0.3 lumens .
