nitecore concept 1

Banggood listed it, the price is not that bad

thats true - but who pays the listed price? ;)

:D

The side switch seems strange to me.
I thought it was a hinge and the lens can be opened :person_facepalming:

Yeah I still don’t visualize how it works… We’ll see with the first reviews

So it’s 18g lighter, slightly smaller and puts out only 200 lumens more then an bypassed BLF A6. But it costs 3 times as much? Ahh the lumens war…. Although Nitecore do under rate most of there products.

I thought about all this 30 secs after I thought, damn I want one.

high quality driver, long warranty, material is good
and it’s the famous brand, of course u will pay some for the name

btw, Nitecore EC4’s driver uses STM32 32bit MCU, much faster and capable of doing manything
nitecore is really serious about thier driver

From the pictures, the switch pivots on the hinge at the front.

I think the phillips screw at the back is just there as a stop to keep the pivoting switch cover flat against the light. Without the screw the cover could flip 90 degrees perpendicular to the light.

Yeah looks like that’s how it works, still ugly though

Here is a review:

I find the SS look of the hinged switch appealing, along with the smooth lines of the light and the knurling where it matters. I saw a couple of video reviews on it that showed it can easily be changed between the 2 groups by loosening the tail cap then holding the switch down while re-tightening the cap… a double blink indicates the successful group change.

Also found that if one uses a pair of the CR123 cells then there is no Turbo mode. This 1800 lumen mode only works with an 18650. I like the police style strobe as well, so, I plunged… Nightcore is good about building an excellent light, with a good warranty and well made drivers. Figured it’d be hard to go wrong on this one and for the price, well, not often you find a newly developed top brand name at these prices…

Edit: Ordered one yesterday, couldn’t resist it’s sleek sophisticated look.

I got excited about the size/performance ratio of this item when it was first announced. I have been sitting, waiting for it to be offered from one of my two favorite dealers. Time for waiting is past, now it is time to just simply get this item. The triggering event: Your post, quoted above; very very positive, very upbeat. It makes my day to be be refreshed by reading cheerful content. Thank you for your pleasantly informative content.

I got one in earlier in the week and will hopefully have a full review out this weekend but I first decided to do a demo of the UI since it’s a bit different.

Could you list with only the “new infos”?

What is the run time of Turbo?

After 15 seconds the light starts gradually dimming down for about 75 seconds (so after 1:30 minutes in total) to 300 lumens.

All I can say is Wow, and then speechless!

sounds like my sex life

That’s it? Not good. What battery are you using?

I don’t own the light. I have the info from Taschenlampen where a store posted some info about the light.

https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&nv=1&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=auto&sp=nmt4&tl=en&u=http://www.taschenlampen-forum.de/threads/p10gt-concept1-srt9.56696/&usg=ALkJrhgAyIyj983TQ7C3hYWv_XpqAc1oMA

But the early stepdown makes sense, because the light is so small that it has only little possibility to dissipate the heat of the 1800 lumens led.
