I believe they haven't arrived yet. I've had very inconsistent orders arriving from China as of late. What used to be 3-6 days in transit/customs overseas, has gotten inconsistent - one as long as 40 days - the Eagle Eye X9 from AliExpress. Others in the range of 15-22 days, but others go quick - no rhyme or reason. Right now I got an SRK clone from AliExpress that is stuck in transit/customs for 30 days.
These prototypes are shipped from ThorFire direct. The group buy will be via BangGood, so different shipping services probably. For me at BangGood, the M12 took 23 days total, about 19 days held up in transit/customs, but couple other orders came quicker.
What you say is correct, Robert.
But some of us are also interested in keeping up to date about Q8 related posts and it’s quite a time waster trying to go through all the fillers to get to the relevant posts, if any.
It’s tough on us who were into the Q8 early on. Imagine what it’s like for some newbie who learned about the Q8 today, only to find an 8000 post thread to try to go through.
Tom I am having a similar shipping problems with AliExpress as of late. I have a thorfire s70s that has been in transit for 52 days. It was shipped epacket from Elfeland outdoor lighting. I went 43 days without an update and then a few days ago I get an update that it arrived in Chicago usps terminal. And now, 52 days since I placed my order, it is set to be delivered tomorrow. The only reason I haven’t disputed the order was the fact they have extended the purchase protection a total of 4 times. In the same time period I have received a dozen orders from china with no delay, a few of those were just standard registered air mail via Hong Kong post. No rhyme or reason as to the difference. Maybe the other two protos will finally show up. As far as the off topic complaints…lighten up and relax a little bit. None of the people consulting on this light is being financially compensated so maybe we shouldn’t complain about how they use their free time. Cheers to all!
Interesting... My S70S from ElfeLand on Ali took 22 days from Apr 27th to May 18th, with 15 days in transit/customs. I used to get stuff in 10-15 days usually.

Are they send to different parts of the world maybe? Still think it’s weird that 7 identical packages are send on the same day from the same company and that there’s so much difference in delivery time. But yeah maybe there’s just no system to be found in these things.

(“personally”, I find the vast majority of it very interesting, informative, & some parts just outright funny… that’s just me though seems like more than a few others do also.

But you have all kinds of options my friend.
- 1. You can do what you said
- 2. You can do what RobertB said
- 3. You can turn off email notification to suscribed threads
- 4. You can make sure that email notification for PM is turned ON.
Now, all that said; I can more than understand why you are “ILL” if you have gotten 8055 notification emails about this thread alone.

I’d be “ILL” too.
That is why I turned email notification of post in a subscribed thread OFF from the very beginning & just check SUBSCRIBED THREADS when I sign in.
Go to USER MENU on left side of page. Click My Subscriptions. You will then see your subscriptions that have new posts. Click on the “new #” and you will be taken to the first new post in the thread since you last looked.
Try it… I bet you’ll like it. 
No, not all 7 were sent the same way. Mine was sent DHL I believe, the rest were sent regular w/tracking. The 2 late ones are the only 2 of the 6 in North America (US and Canada).
The Chinese based companies i help test stuff always use DHL express to send me things, so i normally have prototypes in less than a week.
And i get working tracking and text advisory as the parcel nears the spider web that is Danish customs and the country in general.
This is off course a little unfortunate as i also pay taxes and what not on the shipping cost, but then they normally undervalue the parcel a lot.
A simple point…. how difficult and time consuming is it to keep up with this thread as compared to Tom fixing up Narsil for us? Or The Miller keeping track of all the “I’m in”s? Surely it’s worth some reading in order to get an epic light for $40, yes?
I bet they have arrived but they aren’t willing to say so in the hopes they get another one send to them (just joking)

What would be the likelihood of getting colored e-switch buttons, like for example, pink? Or the possibility of a choice in colors for a glow-in-the-dark o-ring at the lens? I’m sure a lot of folks would like such things, especially for those gift lights…
The LED’s would be easy to swap out after market, kinda doubt they would offer different colors from the factory. That would be really hard to keep track of.
