Review - Jetbeam Pro II Ti

This light was provided to me by FastTech at a discount in exchange for a review.

The Jetbeam Pro II Ti comes in a nice foam lined box, great for presentation as a gift. Included are an instruction manual, warranty card, QC certificate, extra o-ring, lanyard, strike bezel ring and a flat bezel ring. The body has a ton of stylized machining which is great for grip. The pocket clip is sturdy but unique and fits under the tail cap. The tail so is also stylized with cut outs for 1.5x6mm tritium vials (none included) the end of the vials if installed can be seen through the lanyard holes for a little added cool factor. The strike bezel ring can be installed with the points up or down for a little more flare and usability. Installing them downward ensures you have the strike bezel option at all times if you don’t want to scream tacticool. The flat bezel ring allows for a plain/finished look to the Ed of the light and keep the threads covered.

The orange peel reflector gives you a nice even beam pattern. Mine took a little getting used to as the UI is similar to other lights but just enough different to make you think. Upon installing the battery I couldn’t get it to turn of, turned out the light was locked. The electronic lock prevents you from activating the light in your pocket. When unlocked pressing the side switch once turns the light comes on in the memorized mode (high, medium, low). Quickly pressing the switch twice from off puts you in moonlight mode. Three times from off puts you in strobe mode. When on, pressing and holding the switch cycles through the modes (H, M, L). Here is where it’s a little different than say an Olight S1. The Olight cycles low, then medium and finally high. The Jetbeam cycles the opposite. It will go from high, to medium and then low. Like I said, just enough different to make you do a double take. Finally, pressing and holding the side switch will lock the light, it will flash in low to indicate locked. Funny thing about the electronic lock though, it only locks out normal H,M,L function. When locked you can still double tap for moonlight and triple tap for strobe. When locked and with moonlight active pressing and holding the switch will only cycle moonlight and high. I can see that being useful, personally though I wish it would completely lock out the light like the Olight SMINI.

This light is definitely a looker. A lot of car was taken to make just about every inch of this thing pleasing to the eyes. The cool white beam has a nice, even pattern making it useful for up close and at a distance. I’d say this fits more of the gentleman’s EDC light category. The polished titanium and body embellishments make me think I should be clipping it into a pair of slacks. That’s not to say I would be afraid to beat on it though, the fit and finish are great on it. It’s available in plain polished Ti like I have here, anodized Ti and black coated aluminum. This is defiantly a very cool light if you are looking for something a little different that will still pump out some serious light.

Great review. The light is too flashy for my liking, I’ll pass

Mmm, yeah. It’s too “busy”…

Looks like a pretty cool flashlight. What type of battery does it take? Thanks for the review.

Thanks. It runs on a single CR123, RCR123 or a 16340.

Yep. The “amateur” Jet II takes the same, and is quite nice.
