Overview: All Eneloop batteries 2005-2024

I dont think they are fake. They are (supposed to be) China-made eneloops. But it`s really hard to find more information. I`m unable to find it on the chinese eneloop website.

Chinese made eneloops used to show 65% capacity remaining after 5 years on their packaging…(about 2 years ago)
But now since the Japan-made eneloops show 70% remaining after 10 years, the Chinese made eneloops show 70% remaining after 5 years…

The 70% remaining after 5 years used to be for Japan-made loops.

I think that the coding BK-3MCCE is for the european market, the BK-3MCCA is mainly for the North American market (canada amazon). But the confusing thing is that the batteries sold in China are also called MCCA and seem to be made in Japan.
Japan stayed with 3MCC ....to keep it simple.

I`m currently working on my new website, and just finished my limited edition page http://eneloop101.com/batteries/eneloop-limited-edition/

More coming soon!

Hi,
I just started reading your website - lots good work there! Bravo! :+1:

Yes, very interesting. I had no idea there have been so many special edition Eneloops.

Thanks guys. The front page still need to change, but at least it’s a start. Just added product sheets in PDF for most batteries in the overview page.

I had no idea about the chinese monochrome and organic either up till like 2 weeks ago.

Update: March 18: Updated quite a bit of info and still have lots of pages to add. Also just started my facebook page, feel free to join…

Thanks for sharing .

My pleasure.

Just an update:

Added quite a few new pages since i posted last time. So have a look around. Use the menu tabs for seeing all pages.

Updated quite a few details on pages as well as added a few new pages.

Suggestions are welcome. Als I'm still searching for fake eneloops. Anybody has some?

these look great

Hey Boaz... thanks for not having to keep talking to myself ;) Yes, they look interesting. They remind me of the Forest tones without the camouflage.

Thank you for the reference, ChibiM.

My pleasure trume. I hope you enjoy the website.

Please please by all means let me know if there are any unanswered questions on the website.

Thanks for the informative thread/website.

I recently received some AAA Lites from an ebay seller in Japan. Based on the designations, these appear to be the China-made ones sold in Japan.

Upon first full charge/discharge cycle, my Opus charger reported the discharge capacity of 628 mAh.

I am in Vietnam and always have to buy low quality goods from China. Right now, I still do not know where to buy genuine :rage:

Yep, those are the ones made in China. They used to sell Japan-made eneloop Lite up till 2015-2016 when they changed to stock them from China. These are rated at 5000 cycles, while the Japanese ones are rated 3000 cycles. I actually bought some of the lite ones in Japan as well.

I have some Panasonic Eneloop Lite AAA for the Japan market (made 2015 Jun in Japan) that have the 5000 cycles rating on the packaging.

Have just ordered some new Panasonic Eneloop Lite AA and AAA. Will check whether the new ones are made in Japan or China. This ebay seller j-stop advertises them as Made in Japan. They have been trustworthy thus far.

That is interesting. He might have old stock. Im interested in knowing whether you will receive the Chinese or Japanese cells.

Amazing work, really helpful guide for buying Eneloop batteries. I checked the AA batteries that came packaged with Panasonic BQ-CC17 charger, and they are BK-3MCCA models, from updated 4th gen. Label says they’re made in Japan, with 70% of charge after 10 years in the package, looks the real deal. I bought it from a guy who seems to have imported it from the USA, because of the NEMA plug and lack of Euro plug adapter. I thought about buying more Eneloop batteries from the likes of ebay, Aliexpress and Gearbest, but I changed my mind after reading the “Where to buy?” list.

They are now available on Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de and Amazon.it
