Test/review of Aspire INR18350 1300mAh (Black-yellow)

Aspire INR18350 1300mAh (Black-yellow)

Official specifications:

  • INR 18350 3.7V Li-ion

  • High Discharge: 15A

  • Capacity: 1300 mAh

  • ROHS & CE Certified

A 18350 high current and high capacity cell?

The discharge curves di it track perfectly, but fairly well and the cell can handle 10A, it can even deliver 15A, but the output voltage drops significantly.

Conclusion

This looks like a new generation LiIon chemistry for this type of cell.
The performance is much better than all other 18350 I have tested to date, but the specifications are a bit optimistic.

Best 18350 cell yet, I want 10. I’ve gotten bitten by the 18350 super lights; BLF A6, Astrolux S41, S41S, 42, 42S, ThruNite Neutron 2C. Now I’ve got run time and brightness. Thanks for the review. I’ve web hunted for a few minutes. Does anyone have a good suggestion for where to buy.

where to buy this cell?

We need to have a group buy for min 100 pcs + at $3.69 a piece.

Thank you very much. wait for group buy.

another good review. thanks for the heads up by the way….waiting for a group buy

This makes me wonder if we soon will see corresponding performance improvements for 18650 and 26650 batteries?

Thanks HKJ

Me too

We may already have seen it in 18650, I suspect not all of the high current 18650 from China is made by Panasonic/LG/Samsung/Sony.
We will probably see a new generation of all the other small sizes (10440/14500/18500) soon.

they really use the enhanced volume compared to 16340s

looks very good, 1.1Ah would be a better rating

a german vape shop has em also

or from Aspire shop

Thanks for the review HKJ, it confirms in more detail what others have found too.

I think they are easily for sale in Germany but not over here, and many other places are difficult too.

I took a risk and ordered 25 of these batteries at $4 a piece at the Aspire shop (to get free shipping). If they make it to the Netherlands without additional customs fees, I can re-sell 20 of them to other folks on BLF, for $4 per battery plus shipping (for two batteries $1.80) in a simple bubblemailer without tracking.

Interested for 2 or 4… :+1:

Over 1100mAh.

Thanks for the test. I’ve been holding of to buy any other kind of battery then 18650s except for 3 14500 cells because of the low capacity vs cost price. If capacity rises I might be persuaded into getting some if the price is right.

Is it possible to estimate how many charge/discharge cycles these cells can handle?

I would take 4!

The smaller Li-Ion batteries are both low capacity AND expensive… but they are small.

Whatever the price and low capacity, i love my AA/14500 lights. I worship my 18350 lights… and 16340… So much light out of small bodies. Excellent for EDC. I don’t mind so much for the convenience of smaller size.

All true but it’l cost you a lot more on cells in the long run. As they probably have the same amount of usable charge/discharge cycles but only 800 to 1100mAh vs 2600 to 3400mAh. Price for an 18650 is about the same (maybe even cheaper) then any smaller sized cell.
But yeah, I’m starting to like my Klarus Mi7 now with a 14500cell. I’ll see how long the 14500 ’s last me.

I’m interested.

Thanks for testing HKJ! :+1:

Hmm flat tops look to be to shallow, can they be used in series?

Yes they can. Both the top and bottom goes slightly above the plastic.
