I fear that it will not. I recall someone posting pics of the Convoy bezel on a XinTD C8 (RobertB maybe?) but the fit wasnât quite right. I think it didnât screw down all the way. The threading is the same just not the depth. It definitely looks awesome on the grey one. Convoy makes a color very similar to the XinTD grey as you see on the right below. Thatâs the best looking one of the three IMHO. Of course I only have Convoy C8s in clear and black. :person_facepalming: Go figureâŠ
When I get a Biscotti C8, itâll have this bezel. I swear on that.
Received my order today and couldnât be happier for the price. The stainless bezel is roughly 2mm shorter than the standard bezel and the crenellations are much more stylish.
Yes, threads are the same but the Convoy bezel doesnât seat all the way down on the Xin, and the Xin bezel is too long on the Convoy (lens rattle).
But yeah, that grey with the Stainless is sweet looking

Only the clear C8 has the new firmware, right? Any ETA on when the black and gray will get it?
Iâm not certain at this time but you can always order a black or gray C8 and send him a message (before you checkout) telling him youâd like the new driver with the Biscotti firmware. Simon is very accommodating.

Boy, I once paid $25 for a C8 with an SS bezel just to salvage off the bezel and install it on my top end modded C8. Must have had $100+ in that "UltraFire" C8 with a couple generations of modding. Finally, the Convoy C8 has caught up to what I'd consider my ideal C8!
I think I like the bead blasted best, but for now I will leave one in the brushed finish. I anybody is wondering the bezel is also a perfect fit for the Thorfire C8s.
That looks excellent. What did you use for the bead blasting? I was thinking a combination of glass bead and aluminum oxide.
Got mine today. To be honest, Iâm not happy with the finish. Love the design though. A friend of mine is going to bead blast it for me.

I was going to bead blast mine, but after seeing yours I decided to polish it on my buffer with polishing compound. It came out great!

Swap Thorfireâs improved C8S tail cap onto the Convoy and youâd have my ideal C8. Fantastic work as always, Tim. :+1:
One of these days I might just buy a Thorfire for the tail cap, as silly as that may be.
What type/brand of polish compound do you use?
I built a simple contraption to fit the bezel on a power-drill, but using Brasso hardly made any difference with the original.
