Test/review of Aspire INR18350 1300mAh (Black-yellow)

uh oohh, FrankenDale strikes again??

According to HKJ's tests, looks like the Shockli 700 and AWT 800 (Yellow) were the closest in performance and capacity at 0.09 internal resistance and 750 mAh capacity. Slight advantage to the AWT.

So better performance at 0.07 and ~50% boost in capacity.

Not sure when HKJ did the AWT 800 test, because IMRBatteries only has a red 850 mAh AWT 18350 cell now, and that one goes for $5.50, and the EFEST dark purple goes for $5.00, so for $4.00 shipped, this Aspire cell is quite a bargain.

Dang, yea, a lot more applications for this cell. Might have to order more...

This battery, coupled with arrival of shorty lights with internal charging like the S42 and 14 II will make it a viable EDC option for me.

Yeah, Iā€™m gonna have to get some of these as well. If this werenā€™t a HKJ review, Iā€™d say itā€™s too good to be true!

LTf is gonna end up owing some royalties to HKJ in the end. lol

This cell looks good, thanks for the review :+1:

Thanks for the tip! Ordered 5pcs via Paypal and got confirmation of shipment with no shipping charge. Website is a bit buggy going through Paypal but eventually got it with free shipping, works on either 5 or 6pcs ordered. Thereā€™s a charge for any other qty it seems.

Danm, it worked! Thanks!

Thanks Tom E. for the info.

Total price:

5=$20
4=$25.23
3=$19.69
2=$14.15
1=$8.62

I only have 2 X 18350 lights and just bought 2 X KP 18350,this battery blows them away.

Not sure what I will do w/ 5 of them. Certainly makes more sense than buying the other quantities! Maybe shipping is free after $20! :sunglasses:

I know what you can do with them - give a couple to Jon so he can test them. he might be interested

Great minds think alike!!

About 5 minutes after I posted on here I emailed Jon and told him about these batteries and said I wanted to give him Oneā€¦your idea of Two maybe better! :+1:

Thanks for the review!

I ordered 4 from Aspireā€™s Chinese site (the shipping cost went UP if ordering 5 or more).

Aspireā€™s UK site is about twice as expensive for the cells and the shipping cost from the UK to Sweden is about the same as from China to Sweden (itā€™s a strange worldā€¦).

Purchased 5 w/ePacket optionā€¦ā€¦ $20 total.
Thanks for the review and order tips!! :+1: :+1: :+1:

If anyone has an extra one or two they want to part with, send me a PM. 5 for $20 is a good deal, but I only have one 18350 light atmā€¦

Apparently DHL (which was the only shipping agent choice for Sweden on the site) didnā€™t accept sending 18350:s to Sweden, so they were sent by e-EMS instead. Canā€™t complain since I got the shipping charge difference back. In the end the shipping of 4 18350:s to Sweden (via e-EMS) amounted to USD 4:92

Do you have a link to where you bought them from?

Tack!

Jon was very impressed with the batteries performance[HKJ review]. He graciously declined my offer and told me he is going to look into getting them.

Hopefully he will and he has them in a month or Two!

I received 10 of the 25 batteries that I ordered. I will test 8 of them for capacity (=at 500mA discharge) in the Opus. Hereā€™s the first 4, capacities are fine.

The high current capabilities of the fully charged battery prove a bit less than my black Keeppower IMR cells, on my EDC triple they deliver 5.7A, while the Keeppower does more than 7. But that is more than fine knowing that it will maintain the current longer.
Edit: correction, I did not test fully charged cells :person_facepalming:
