ok, interested, i assume you will announce it here on the budgetlightforum?

or “Bistro”

wle

Can I be in line for the first D4? Haha

Wow Hank. I like that little quad.

When will that be available? :stuck_out_tongue:

According to post #203 before the end of this month… :sunglasses:

O, it’s a quad? Very nice. :+1:
Keep us posted!

What’s the head / tail / body diameter?

I’d say almost the same as an S2+ and other tube-style 18650 lights, so 24/25mm-ish

Welcome back Hank. Its nice to see that you’re still in the game. Good luck with your new flashlight models. I bet you sell many.

92mm VS 117mm (S2 tube light)

Is it the end of June yet? :sunglasses:

So… the D7 (instead of D17) has seven emitters. Maybe like DQG with single 26650 (Well it could be seven XH-P70 emitters buuuut I doubt that)? So I do assume Nichia option is then available for the D7.

Interested in this D4!!!

Yes, length is smaller. But with 10622 head has to be larger. Tail looks larger too. Could you please share the diameter numbers?

I did some pixel counting. It’s not accurate, but I guess the tail cap is 26.5 mm, battery tube: 24 mm, head: 28 mm + protrusion. Head would be 24 mm long, tail - 23 mm.
This adds up to ~48 cm^3.
For comparison, DQG Tiny 4th 18650 is very roughly 38 cm^3, 21% smaller.

If shortened to 18350 size, this would be very roughly 34 cm^3 vs. 26 cm^3, 25% smaller.

28mm(head )* 24mm(tube) * 25.6mm(tailcap)

Whatever happened with the rumors of the new Meteor I believe it was or something similar, read about a new light on the Meteor thread some time back ? Last year I believe.
Great new light Hank, and still wishing you’d start remaking some of your lights from the early days again,

Thank you

It’s probably going to be the D17.

Yes, thank you Maukka, I think you very well could be right,
I think because I was reading the Meteor thread when I read of a new light by Hank I may have just assumed the talk of a new light would be similar to the Meteor.
Either way, I do know only one thing for sure, if it’s from Hank it will be great so I have made a note to follow this thread more often, thanks again I do believe you are correct.

Edit: Was reading the thread back some pages from here and found someone who actually quoted the same thing I read on the Meteor thread and what my question was here, so relieved to know I wasn’t to far off anyhow, but sadly Hank didn’t catch the question or comment anyhow, but this forum member recalls the exact wording of what I read some time ago and what lead me to think a new styled Meteor was in the mix from Hank and it was as follows,
“The planned 8×18650 powered Noctigon was I believe supposed to have 9 XHP35 HI emitters for 16000 lumens. Perhaps this changed to seventeen XP-L HI emitters? Or maybe seventeen XP-G2/Nichia emitters for around 10000 lumens, but with a lot more throw than the M43?”
And rats no reply from Mr Hank, that was what I was asking about, what a light that would be, but these new lights mentioned by Hank sure do sound nice so will will be keeping my eye out

^ Hey hope is all fine Mr. T18. :sunglasses: Here’s the info Hank wrote about the new monster light, post #100 and #121: Noctigon Meteor M43 BLF Discount Buy - $50+ Discount! - MTN & Intl-Outdoor
And according to post #218 of this thread, D17 is a typo, and should be D7 for seven emitters.
Whatever this D7 is going to be, it sure ain’t no shoe lace light…
