What's the best flashlight, (for the money you paid) that you ever bought?

lol either the OLD MCU-C7 q5 or the R5-a3....

R5-a3 is quite a great light for the price....

i like my p7, but it was beat by a 18 dollar light lol

That's a weird looking poll lol.

My vote goes to the DX 501B MC-E for $20. Really bright light for the money.

For the price, I would go with the Trustfire TR-801 for only $6.

I also like my ITP A3 but that was $20, so not really budget but it's been my most used light.

The recent deal that how2 found (the trustfire tr-801 for $6.69) was the absolute best for the money. Beautiful light overall with holster for that price is nuts. Very bright too.

Second vote goes to my Skyray sr5. Amazing light as well, great quality, mode memory and ya, it outshines all of my other lights except for the oversized tr-1200 wanna-be that I have (which is not much brighter at all)

I have purchased 5 skyray sr5's from DX, all of which have been great quality.

My best deal so far is still the $5.10 Lumahunter MRV SE (+ $4.58 shipping) but the Trustfire TR-801 for $6.69 could beat it if and when it finally arrives.

ITP A3 EOS upgraded is one of the best for the price.. its a bit expensive compared to DX lights, but fenix, 47s, and other "brand" flashlights with the same features are around 50usd..

I recently received the UF C3 SS (13usd) and I fell in love too.. im planing to mod it with a XPG R5

I paid ~$20 for my MRV, and it's the best deal for a flashlight that I've come across.

I'd definitely say the $5 MRV clone. Pity it isn't still available at that price.

Solarforce L2 / Quality - Value for money - just damned good . My No1 Pick ...

Trustfire F20 / Value for money AA

Ultrafire A20 / RCR123A [ Got an extra one in anticipation of the XM emitter ]

ITP / AAA

Even though the Skyray makes the Akoray look like, as Don once said, a sick glow-worm, I still prefer the Akoray and use it a Lot more. Since I paid something like US$ 20 for it, it has better value.

But if you change the question to brightness for money....

Some context: There are no good flashlights around where I live. An unmodified 3D Mag is as bright as people know. Everybody I know swore after seeing the SKYRAY S-R5 for the first time.

But after pursuing the brightest flashlight possible I now find myself preferring the low-low ones....

Only one: itp A3 eos upgraded

Zebralight H30, by far my most used flashlight so even though it wasn't all that cheap it is still my #1.

Second would be a modified Ultrafire C1 with a modified DX XPG drop in.

Fenix TK12 R5 for $62 from Solarforcestore, and Olight M20 Warrior for 48.89 Euro from GearUpEurope. Otherwise, Trustfire TR-801 for $6.69 :)

I agree with: For the price, I would go with the Trustfire TR-801 for only $6.

I have an H50 and have never regretted buying it despite the fact it is well out of what I consider the budget light range. I reckon it probably is worth what I paid for it unlike many other things I've bought. But it terms of lumens per unit of currency it sounds like a bad deal. At home it is probably my most used indoor light, in my very brightly lit office I need something with more output when I need to light fiddly stuff up. My vision is not what it was but lots of light helps.

Ohmygosh.. . I screwed up! Many apologies guys (Thanks, Newbie for pointing it out).

I guess my English - she not so good

I didn't mean what's the BEST light...(the best I own is also the most expensive in my collection). What I meant was: for the money you paid, which light clearly has the power/performance that make it such a good deal.

For example, my SKYRAY S-R5 is as bright and has a good throw/beam pattern/battery life etc. as other flashlights I own that cost twice, almost three times as much. That makes it, in my book like a winner (even though side by side my super SST-50 light makes the S-R5 seem a little wimpy).

I LOVE my SST-50 light but it costs almost 6X what I paid for my SKYRAY

My Best Deals are in rank order:

Trustfire X6 SST 90 $42.30

MVR $9.68

Trustfire TR801 $6.69

Ultrafire M10 R2 $7.78

WTF! where did you get the Trustfire X6 at $42??

It is possible many people here already know what mine is. I don't even have to think about it: Solarforce L2P with the 3-mode Ultra Fire XM-L/T6 from Manafont. 500 . . . maybe 600 lumens, bullet proof design, type 3 anno still looks new even after I beat the holy pee out of it and handsome as hell . . . all for for just $35.

My new favorite is the Solarforce L2i with the same drop-in. I mistakenly believed at first, that an 18650 would not fit. It does and so, this thundering little powerhouse accomplishes all the above for a mere $24.

Best is highly subjective ...

But = Solarforce L2 XR-E R2 5 mode , came with holster and a 18650 Battery shipped for $25 [ I still have those batteries , and they seem to be working fine ]

Ooops double post !

For the money, this is it for me.
