REVIEW - Zanflare F1

I dont know how to do that. Lol… but anyway… i am not here try to complain or cry… i love this light. It cost $31.79 and received in 15 days… ( fast )… i used to have an olight m1x striker xml led cost $60. This zanflare f1 is great deal… latest led. True moon light. I can navagiate around the surounding in low mode… i also like how the tailswitch operate… while the light is on, half press the tailswitch will temporary turn the light off.

Conclusion. I love this light for what it is. Great price. Xpl v6. Great construction. I will buy zanflare light again.

I just dont understand why my light doesnt like unprotected button top or solder blop. Thats all.

One needs to isolate the issue !
Is it the driver side , or the clicky side that is the root cause ….

If you have some electrical wire , one merely runs it from the back of the battery to the bare aluminium at the tail cap end , all you are doing is completing the circuit … ( Much like the clicky switch does )
If the light turn on when completing the circuit , the problem is not the battery …

To find solutions to problems , one first needs to know what the problem is !
( Because I am using a flat top battery in mine )

If we eliminate the battery or the front of the flashlight , then that points to something entirely different .
And after (?) is it almost 10 years now , one of the major reasons for issue for most people is the tailcap / clicky / assembly . ( And often the fix is as simple as tightening the retaining ring ) .

You sure you charged ’em?

Ok , 16340 …
I charged up some 16340 , these are really old unprotected 16340 , but always performed well .
They came of the charger at some 4.09 volts …

Low / med / high output was a match for the 18650 …
What surprised me was the output on Turbo , 1300+ Lumens which ran for all of about 5 seconds before the thermal protection kicked in …

I get the feeling that perhaps this light might be meant for the 3v rechargeable 16340 … ( 3.6v ’ish fully charged ) ??
Because Turbo on the 4.2v Fully charged 16340 ( well , 4.09v ) really pumped …

There does not seem to be any advantage using 16340 ( 3.7 nominal ) for output in the other modes .
And 5 seconds of Turbo is ( ? ) …
I dont have any Primary CR123 that are new … I have some old ones in my Surefire …
Yep , pretty much spent after all these years … ( Just tested )
Might have to order a 17650 for the 6P surefire …

Sorry about that guys , all my Primaries are like seriously old and I should probably toss them … ( Confirmed )

Hi Zanflare, I visit your website. How to get a F2?

Thank you, Zanflare. I will check out them .

Quick regarding the review.

A notice there two version of the zanflare F1, a 4500-5000k and a 6000-6000k.
Which version did you review?
Which version would you recommend?

Thanks in advance

PS: Great review.

Mine must be the cool white … ( 6000k )
Just depends on how much a purple tinge on the edge of the beam offends you ? ( White walling )

Some folks just love warmer emitters ( nice yellow light ) …

Apples and oranges …

Hi Guys

Could you recommend me which flashlight diffuser or aka traffic wand that fit well to zanflare f1 ?

Been searching high and low but most fit up to 25.4mm.

Thanks

My suggestion, search for “diffuser” on these stores (that are both Kaidomain, one on AliExpress, the other, the KD store):

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/708513

Hope this helps

This one works well enough: https://www.fasttech.com/products/1606/10001948/1140010

Anyone has measurement of kcd for both NW and CW?
Is it meeting spec of 16kcd?
Thanks.

Thanks for the review, it made a difference deciding to buy one.

For or against? :smiling_imp:

Bought one when the price was about $12 (it’s gone back up again)

The F1 is about $16 right now on Amazon. Seems good enough to give away as xmas gift at work.
