This high current, high capacity cell is from a new brand of batteries.

I like that the battery is both marked with pulse and continuous discharge current.

This discharge curves are tracking just about perfectly and the cell can deliver 15A continuous.

The cell gets hot at 15A, but not too hot.

At 20A I had to stop.

And also at 30A

Conclusion

The cell look like good quality and it can deliver the rated current and capacity.

Thanks for the test!

Nice, an honest and good new battery brand. If it is really a china produced battery it sounds really good quality.

Looks like it could be a LG HG2 cell, based on the discharge curves.

Hg2 overheats at 20amps like this one?

Looks like the HG2 does get a bit less hot than this cell, but close. Not sure if that is due to a small difference in the thermometer attachment or an indication of something else.

Interesting that these cut off at 20A and 30A. I got full discharges up to 60A constant current, altjough they got really HOT!!

The jumps in output was because my holder got damaged, not the battery. Yous has probably also vented.

I was prepared for venting at that temperature, but it didn’t happen.
