New 4XP Noctigon MCPCB for quad optic

Nicely done, Hank! The D4 is beautiful!

I can’t wait to order one with Nichias! :+1:

Green nichia for me now!!!, and perhaps black XP-L Hi, Nice lights!!

Please Hank no more pics…… I need a link

… Pretty much how I feel now…

There will be no knurling on the tube?
What about tailcap magnet?

That would have been nice, but a magnet that can hold a 18650 light horizontally is at least 5mm thick, I can understand a decision to go for minimal size in a light like this.

More like 3mm, but yeah it adds to the length for sure… but it’s quite useful

EDIT : you can always glue a magnet to the tailcap

This looks great, Is there a tail spring, I usually swap that out for a magnet. Could do with knurling on the tube though.

I like the tube without knurling. Everyone has their preferences

True, not everyone can be right :stuck_out_tongue:

There is a spring:

I know that spring, the coils compress to completely flat, so it takes just a mm of space. So there’s not much gained removing it.

I guess they take batteries from ~65 to ~70 mm and the springs are solely responsible for that. So while the springs may compress completely with a 70 mm battery, there will probably be free space if you use a shorter one.
BTW, I wonder why do they use springs at all and not DQG style solid contacts….I’ve read some people being worried of dropping DQGs, but not about someone having problems because of that.

I have not doubt, is better for batteries springs than solid contacts…
My batteries feel better…I feel better…

I’ll have to get 27, for all the color options in the various tints.

We were forced to change the price to $35 due to some cost increase.

I’m checking out Intl-outdoor.com many times a day to see if they’re for sale… Can’t wait to see more pictures and all the available options… Let’s see how many Nichia variants there will be… :smiling_imp:

:+1:

Excellent. It looks like a less deep green than in the picture before…

Edit:

Oh dear, I just fantasised of a green Meteor M43…

Thanks, although some samples have been tested for a few days, we would still rather to assemble the lights and test them fully before putting them for sale, instead of taking the customers’ money first.

Yes, the outdoor beam photos are more close to the real color.
