Recently I bought a lightning charging cable from BangGood. It was DOA. I got a reply from their CS within 24h. They asked me to ship the broken cable back and they would pay the shipping cost. I agreed and they immediately resent the cable, quicker than me sending back to them. New one arrived in about 10 days and was good.

I've had good service this far from BangGood. Even a couple of small issues such as one of my Imalent DN35's, the spring was too short. They contacted the manufacturer and had another one shipped to me.

My wife and I have a small but growing E-commerce business now and I can tell you, shipping from China is a logistical nightmare.

So instead of taking the refund you kept arguing with them to try to get your way? Why?

They either did not have more of them in stock and that’s why they’re refunding you, or were giving you the opportunity to take the refund and reorder it.

Instead you wasted 6 months and eventually got neither, and then come on the forum and ask for them to be banned because YOU had a bad experience with them due to your refusal of a refund…………

Not sure where that is going? Are you suspecting I am a mole…? I assure you I am not, never have been and never will be on the vendors side. My history would show that

I have backups upon backups, but for some reason I feel a need to make them go good on the bad Old Lumens lights that I bought and they changed specs with no notice and are trying to pass them off as the same…

If there are moles, maybe they will see my post and BG will go good on the OL lights I got that they changed specs on. Maybe I am expecting too much? I personally do not think so.

I do want my OL a01s. I want it as a constant reminder of the ol guy that came and basically changed BLF. Anyone who was here when he came would agree, he changed BLF.

I left BLF for quite some time. Had a lot of crap that happened in my life, including my son dying last year, and left all forums for a while. Came back and saw Justin had passed and literally shed a tear or two. Found the OL A01, and did some quick searching and found it was a nicha 219b with no memory, and Mrs Lumens would receive a profit off each. After ordering I noticed talk of BG not going good on the deal. Then getting the light I realized it was not as expected with the NMM.
I was expecting a nice light to throw on my keychain with no memory, and Justins wife would get compensated for his name. Got a light that does not match the original specs and not sure if his wife is getting proper compensation…

Maybe I am getting too personal with this light and expecting too much? Personally, I do not think so. They make a light in Old Lumens name, it should be the same from start of production to end of production.

I don’t even use Banggood.
I’m just reading the story from OP’s side and it seems like a bunch of stubbornness and irrational hate due to his own mistakes.

Seriously, if a cheap chinese retailer like BG offers a refund, because clearly there is a reason they aren’t sending another one, instead of arguing with them for SIX MONTHS to resend the item, you take the refund.
Especially if it has been more than 30 days.
This is just common sense online shopping practices.

Actually, I think that is the issue, that it’s too personal.

Break it down:

  • You order a light, expecting it to be OLish

  • It’s not. For whatever reason, the spex changed.

  • You want an OL light.

  • They just plain don’t have any, anywhere.

  • They offer you a refund.

  • You say no, you want an OL light instead.

  • Rinse, repeat.

  • The clock runs out, it’s beyond the scope of a refund.

  • Acto them, it’s settled, you were being stubborn, now you’re not entitled to anything

  • Acto you, it’s not settled, as you’re still waiting for a nonexistent light.

And here we are…

’Bout sums it up?

I never got offered a refund, or nothing. Offered a driver, that I guarantee is the same They claim specs didnt change and its still no memory

I did not expect it to be OLish. Its not an OL light and I had a few go through my hands…

Are you a BG rat?

Maybe you just didnt read the whole post? Or maybe you know something I dont about my contacts with BG?

Oh yeah. I ain’t got a dog in this fight. Never ordered anything from BG. Ever.

Wow, already with name-calling?

Fine, I’m out. Have fun with NMM…

Well then, maybe you shouldnt come in with speculations that you dont know nothing about…? Because I never got offered any kind of refund or any resolution

Do you think a $20 key chain light should come with any kind of random driver decided at random, or the one thats expected at that price?

Well you come in accusing me of getting offered some sort of resolution, which I have not.

Okay, this is what I remembered about “they offered me a refund”. Wrong person. Sue me.

Maybe should be sure before making assumptions. If they offered even partial compensation for the obvious changes, I would take it and tear into the light to see what could be done. But at this point, if they want a return of the lights, I wont tear into them until a decision has been made…

I feel that they should not be allowed and should be called out and held responsible for the bait n switch

I’ve never had problems with banggood. Their discounts and range of products have been pretty good.

Like I said, you should have filed a paypal dispute within 180 days. Now there’s nothing paypal can do for you. If banggood doesn’t want to refund you or send your light, you’re screwed. Next time use the protection paypal offers you if the vendor doesn’t resolve your case within 180 days. This time you pushed until you got nothing.

I placed 4 orders recently on BG, all arrived within decent time, no problem. Sometimes parcels can be held back by customs office in destination country, you should try contact them before complaining to BG. I did that with Thorfire S70S ordered on AliExp, the parcel arrived two days after.

@presterjohn. So they told you they lost it in the post, then offered a refund? If that’s the case and they admitted that it was lost, surely they could just send another?

Do they still show stock of that light and are they going to continue selling it? If so, they could send another, if not then I understand the refund.

BG ( Banggood ) …

If you are getting the dirty end of the stick , U are certainly free to shop else where …
There are plenty of vendors out there …

Though it seems that over the years favorites come and go … And BG is certainly working for most .
I don’t know of any other online Dealer that works as hard as BG , not just good prices but public relations and product reviews .

I don’t see that much posted about DX - KD - and several other vendors that were in flavor a few years ago . ( Not enough to notice in anyways )
I think last year I set a new record for claims against Ebay sellers … ( Stuff never arrived )
And over that same period BG has come through every time .

Now when I shop , I make sure to check BG before handing over money …
My last purchase being a Eachine E0-10 micro quad , with BG points set me back some $15.75 AUS …
If BG has the item at or close enough to Feebay prices , I will send my money to BG .

With such a large customer base , there are sure to be some customers that are not happy .
