Banggood - Is it time to ban them from the forum?

I have had excellent customer service from Banggood, once I cooperated by posting a video of the issue, I got a refund. They even let me keep the defective light (Astrolux M01 that flickers and is totally unreliable).

Note that replying to their email gets no response, I get results by replying through their webform email each time I need to communicate with them.

I compared Bangood to Gearbest a few months back. I ordered a Copper Tool from each of them. The Bangood order took 2 weeks to arrive, the Gearbest order took 3 weeks.

I don’t see a problem with either one, if you’re not in a hurry

Like The Miller said, I always accept the refund they offer first, not a replacement.
Then I order the replacement separately, if Im still interested in gambling on the same model light
(Im a slow learner, stubborn, persistent, or dumb, depending on the day).

I’ve purchased a number of products on Banggood and never had a problem. Everything arrived in a timely manner. I consider them a trusted seller and would buy from them again.

Banggood has treated me well. Even offering compensation after uploading photos. I did not even ask for it. I just informed them of a decline in the quality of an item. Suggesting their new supplier is not providing a good product. I have placed many orders and hope to place many more. I recognize, though, that some feel differently.

It was a titanium flashlight that was on special offer when I bought it. It has remained in stock but has never dropped down to the sale price I paid for it again. If it had I would have simply taken the refund.

Well fair enough, I would also want another light posting, else you’d end up paying more for it afterwards.
Seems a bit odd that they didn’t just post another one if they also thought it had been lost in the post. Did it have tracking?

This deal happened during that time they had loads of trouble with whoever was dealing with shipping. I think they were faking deliveries or something. I believe lots of deliveries failed to get to customers world wide at the time.

So. You order a light, it doesn’t arrive, you tell Banggood, they say hang on for a bit longer, it may still be in transit,….still no light, you tell them no light, a bit of toing and froing…
…,they admit it must be lost in transit, (they’re having a lot of problems with their current shipping company) they offer a refund, you don’t want a refund, you want the light you ordered, they say take the refund (but the discount offer has expired now, it’ll cost you more when you reorder it), you say no thanks, I would like the light that I ordered please, sorry you can’t have the light now as 6 months has passed and that’s our policy, we’ll keep your money, thanks.
Something like that?

Regardless of any so called policy, they should honour your purchase with a replacement after all, you only want the light that you payed for.
Out of principle, you shouldn’t have to involve PayPal either, it doesn’t bode great confidence in a company if you need to involve PayPal to get your problem sorted.

to know this it means you tried.
EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW :confounded: :person_facepalming:

I always go to banggood first because they ship a lot faster then others…
Gearbest is good too but just a little longer and I need my lights or torches on the quick lol

Isn’t it easier to ban oneself from it rather than the whole forum?

I can say that whatever problem had with BG,was solved .But I see that there is a delay in delivery recently.

If you’ve spent a long time trying to get a seller to honour a contract and deliver the promised item instead of weaseling out with a refund, but now decide to cut your losses and get a refund after all, some credit card companies will allow chargebacks a year or even two years after the payment date.

It’s worth contacting your credit card company and asking about that possibility, even if you are past the “last estimated delivery date plus 30 days” EBay give you, or the “payment date plus 180 days” PayPal offer.

I have at least 20 or 25 lights, batteries, chargers ext. over the last 6 months. I am waiting for an order to arrive any day now. This is the first late delivery out of every order I have ever placed with BangGood however, it has nothing at all to do with them.

Here in the U.S. FedEx Smartpost takes care of the package once it clears customs. I track every package from the date I get a tracking number to the day it arrives. FedEx has left my package sitting for 4 days now in a hub that is only an hour away. It was scheduled to arrive yesterday but again it has not moved. The scan shows it is moving lol and if it is someone is walking it here.

I called FedEx yesterday and they dropped the ball which is almost always the case. It should arrive Wednesday after the holiday.

There is nothing at all that anyone at BangGood could have done about this this is all on FedEx. Even arriving a but late it will still make it in 15 days.

I placed an order very late last night for one of the BLF models that I had not noticed was on sale. My order date shows 7-4-2017. I will try my best to remember to post the date it arrives and it's condition.

To date I have always had good service from BangGood.

A ban would be a drastic measure. If a company were purposely trying to cheat or mislead members I could understand a discussion about taking some sort of action.

As a small business owner we triple check everything to solve problems before it ever causes issues with customers and with very good results but, my sales are probably only about 1 percent of the sales of BangGood or even less.

I am just thinking of what it could do to my business if by chance a problem did slip by and a posting like this came up with my name on it.

Just checked: I ordered 19 times at banggood and did not have any issue.
Very competetive prices, functional website and I especially appreciate the BLF and Astrolux special editions !!!

I’m pretty disappointed with them right now, as I’ve been dealing with a CSR since June 26 on a defective multimeter backlight out of the box and now they expect me to completely disassemble it, take pictures and send it to them to prove A. that I opened it and B. the supposed LED cable is broken. I was even willing to pay return shipping for an exchange, but at this point, I’ve given up and am going to either return for a refund or file a Paypal claim. I’ve had a couple of small issues with BG in the past, but this is the first time they’ve gone completely out of their way to alienate a customer over a $40 meter.

KuoH

Banggood’s return policy is not the quickest or easiest but all the times I had a problem with any item they agreed to fully refund me.

In my opinion, asking for pictures, videos or other form of evidence for a defective product is fair and understandable when they refund without requiring you to ship anything back.

Never really had a real problem with Banggood.

I had one light arrive DOA (not BG’s fault) and one with a screwed up bore in the battery tube . Both issues were very easily solved within 48 hours.

Customer service was easy to deal with and pleasant.

No complaints from me about Banggood. 5 of 5 Star Rating……… :+1:

I have had great service from Banggood. all my orders have arrived with no problems, and the couple times i had a problem with an item a few years back they quickly sorted it out for me. Sorry to hear that you had a problem, but many of us here had good service and satisfaction from Banggood. i have ordered a lot of items and lights from them, and still do.

I just told them nicely not to expect a picture or video of light that did not work. Worked fine for me. That step was eliminated.

I don’t mean to be rude but nowadays being technologically challenged also means facing certain situations in life. They’re not asking you to take professional quality photos and videos, just any quick snap or record to demonstrate the problem and to confirm it is not user’s misuse or fault. It can be done in seconds and if you lack a computer you can just send them the pictures via email from your phone or tablet. IMO anyone capable of making an internet purchase is also capable of taking pictures and sending them online.

Again, I believe it’s fair when they don’t require the customer to ship the product all the way back to China. Just my honest opinion.
