Sorry but the notes are not now with me but if I recall correctly, I think that they were all around ~4950-5100. I know that this won’t help but I get my hands on my other laptop next weekend…I’ll post the exact numbers then.
Well, hope this is just a proper rewrap of the cell from their provider. I am not a fan of downgrades, and the blue cell has certainly been a top reference by providing capacity above the wrap figures (how many cells from the big ones do that, eh?) and great discharge performance combined.
Even if they've decided to switch manufacturer to Hengji Battery, I see it good (a very bit less capacity, a bit better discharge performance, or thereabouts).
It’s funny that the 50A and 50B have similar markings and use a similar shade of blue. But they are different enough to think they are made by different companies. I agree the 50B also seems like a great cell. I have one of each and use them in series. From that CPF test their capacities are very close so I have no worries about using them in series.
Yeah, I hear you. But it does make perfect sense & matches up with what we found here too concerning the ‘A’ vs. ‘B’.
That being , the ‘A’ cells have more capacity than the ‘B’ cells when “tested” the same way on the same chargers. They were Lii 500’s located in the USA & Wales UK. Best I remember I had/have 10 A’s & 8 B’s…. I think Ian had 8 A’s & 4 B’s.
Other people who reported also had similiar results. ‘A’ has more capacity than ‘B’… though it be slight (around 150 mAh IIRC) and most every cell was above the rated capacity of 5000 mAh.
Personally, I hope these “new” ones are made by PLB & spec in real life as the original ‘A’ cell did/do.
Those are the “new” ones. Hopefully they will be… They should be.
If you have a charger that will check discharge capacity, check them when you get them. That will tell the story… most of it anyway.
