You’d get a better beam profile from Richards MCPCB if it fits, due to the skewed footprints.

Yes, it does. The D4 optic is a normal Carclo 10621 lens, unlike a lot of the other Chinese quads.

Sorry, no plans for a triple 32mm XM MCPCB. To make it cost efficient, you really need to produce hundreds---if not a thousand. I've only sold a few dozen in a year and a half.

Noticed that HaikeLite has made mention of your company as U.S.A. dealer and wondering how soon you’ll have any stock and any idea of what models.

As soon as the lights arrive. They were supposedly sent 11 days ago, but I do not believe that since DHL never takes that long.

Initial lights will be the MT01 and MT02.

From looking at the specs, the noctigon board is 2mm in thickness and your board is 1.6mm. I’m worried that will also change the beam profile with the optics farther away from the emitters.

If you spent few more minutes and check carclo specs you will see that legs pins height is 1.5mm.

Not surprised sadly, I have had a lot of run around with both Alvin and Lee, and not the chipmunks, actual names they used with me going back to their first lights Nov. 2016, MT03 and MT07, still have those originals, what a mess they were.
Edit: Whoops, saying a bit to much, cut out my commentary, have had the same experiences with Haike, it’s 3 days from HK DHL.

thanks for the info! you saved me 50 seconds of my life! LOL

Thanks! That should make it an easy upgrade.

The thicker MCPCB probably won’t be an issue. I haven’t tried it, but it seems like the worst case would be maybe using a thinner O-ring or not tightening the bezel quite as far.

Richard, I received my D4 and a bunch of other stuff and I wanted to thank you for the way you pack the mailer bags. My deep pocket clips were secured and taped to a piece of foam so they arrived intact and without scratching everything else all to hell. I also appreciated the tape on the 18650 cells. Wouldn’t like them to wiggle loose in transit! It makes me happy to buy from someone who cares and goes the extra mile. Thanks! :+1:

About my D4, yeah, it isn’t set up with the new UI, but after playing with it for a bit, I really like it. I added the deep pocket clip and can’t wait to take the pooches out for a short walk tonight. I’ve just got to make sure I don’t accidentally blind them!

The skunk that’s been hanging around lately, well that’s another story… :smiling_imp:

Thanks PBWilson!

Also, for those of you who were interested in the HaikeLite MT01/MT02, we have them in stock now. They are pretty beefy lights---definitely not thin machining on these. Drivers are good quality and have a simple UI.

Nice looking! Want, can’t have…:frowning:

Either online at onlinemetals.com or I got to a local machine shop. The machine shop is usually cheaper as they don’t have agressive shipping charges, they do charge bases on time to cut the bar to length from a larger rod of stock. I’ve also found that the machine shop generally won’t have copper or tellurium copper, so the choices may be more limited.

If you’re lucky you can get a small shop that has ends that they have on hand but don’t use because they’re too small for many of the projects they get in, then you can just a piece based on the price of it and since they buy larger rods for stock they get lower prices.

Modern flashlights. Amazing.

Driver problem — I’ve just installed a 5x7135 driver (bought months ago) set up with Guppydrv
but it’s got next mode memory on all of its settings.

Any guess what I’ve done wrong here? Could I have grounded something with the retaining ring?

It’s running a PC amber emitter that also came from Mtn.

Oh, and the turbo timer drops down to moonlight, not to 50 percent.

Is there a way to cancel the turbo timer completely?

EDIT nevermind, found how to cancel turbo timer by setting to 4 seconds or less (info is on the page for the larger diameter driver)

And I found a thread about the next mode memory problem at: Help! - MTN-20DD driver with guppydrv always starting in next mode - #12 by hank - Flashlight Modding and DIY Parts - BudgetLightForum.com

Hi, RMM. Any idea when you might have Shockli 5500 mAh 26650’s back in stock? Thanks…

Richard is now selling e-switch drivers with the Emisar D4 UI v2.

It’s available now on his website in various sizes from 15mm on up.

This is great news for all modders who love the v2 firmware in the D4 and want to put it in their other e-switch lights.

Hopefully soon.

If turbo timer is stepping down to anything less than 50% there is a problem. To go any lower than 50% the driver thinks the input voltage is low.
