Test/review of GIF NCR18650B 3000mAh (Cyan-Orange)

GIF NCR18650B 3000mAh (Cyan-Orange)

Official specifications:

  • Capacity: 3000mAh

  • Voltage: 3.7V

  • Chemistry: Li-ion

  • Color: Blue&Orange

  • Size: 65mm(Length) x 17mm(Dia.)

A battery that uses same number as a 3400mAh Panasonic cell (NCR18650B), could that be a good cell? But then GIF is always bad cells.

The GIF brand prevails, it has 500mAh capacity and it can deliver up to 2A, but for once the cells is fairly well matched.

There is not enough energy to heat the cell.

Conclusion

There is a reason that GIF is on my avoid list, as usual this is a bad cell.

Maybe they’re hoping that google will lead people to them by naming this NCR18650B… Horrible…

How laughable… is this another fake battery with the tiny cell inside?

How is it pronounced?, gift or jif?

I have never seen that type of cell (I have seen the pictures of it). The usual “fake” cell is produced that way: Disassembly of UltraFire 9900mAh 18650 battery
Or it can be a old cell: Disassembly of some UltraFire batteries
