Olight I3E EOS Copper

The I3S CU is brass

Oops, never mind mrheosuper. I’m not interested in the brass one. Thanks X3 for pointing out that little “s” there. It is indeed a very different light!

I had an I3E CU…unfortunately I fried it with a 10440…
So now I have a nice little CU host that I can’t make anything with…
If anyone in EU want it, just pay the 2€ shipping and it’s yours

despite its appearance, its still one of my trustable light :D, now it’s hanging at my keychain

You’re not interested in modding/repairing it yourself? There are plenty of tiny drivers around.

The I3E is so short that Olight had to solder the emmitter (Luxeon) directly on the driver board…

I will take it!

Been wanting a copper aaa light and this looks perfect

Pm me paypal details!

I received a PM from user : lieber Scholli 4 minutes before your message…
It seems to be gone already, sorry :open_mouth:

You mean like this?

Yet I would be unable to solder the components, nor to source them in reasonable quantity that won’t make the whole thing 3 times the price of a brand new I3E

EDIT : but please, feel free to send me one :-p

No worries

Well, I can’t argue with that! Wow! Components must very expensive in France! :open_mouth:

No good for you now… you’ve given away your host! :stuck_out_tongue:

But, if you seriously want one, I could let one go. Do you want an LED soldered on, or just the driver components?

I guess I’m to late for the Olight host :frowning:

Really, where do you find them? I’ve seen a lot on chinese-shops but all sold out.

I was the one who said there were plenty of tiny drivers around. I said it because X3 was giving away his host due to not being able to fix it. I was trying to encourage him that he could fix it by changing the driver. He is in the USA. We have Mountain Electronics. They sell drivers of various sizes and styles.

I don’t know if there are plenty of drivers available to you or not, outside the USA. Do you know how to solder? Build drivers? If so, there are free driver board designs from BLF that are uploaded to OSHPark. You could buy them for $5USD per square inch for three copies, including shipping. Then, you’d have to get components and put the drivers together yourself. The board I posted above is one that I designed with the driver on one side and LED on the other, for lights like this one, that don’t have a separate MCPCB for the emitter.

When I look under the avatar of X3 I can read he is from France?
And yes I can solder but not with such small parts on a such a tiny driver board :frowning: But no problem, I think I need to look more closely in the internet for a tiny driver board!

OOPS! Yeah, you’re right. His location is France. I don’t know what made me say he was from USA. I just got confused I guess.

Nice patina :+1:

I have bought me a second one, really like this torch :+1:

What does the EOS designation mean—i see it used all over but never defined?
