a new EDC light of 2017- JAXMAN E2L

I’ve being playing with my E2L for 2 months now. It has become my favorite EDC light, on par to my Zebralight H52F.

It feels very solid in my hand. I don’t have such feeling with some other lights with similar shape. TBH I don’t know exactly why.

Its beam is very bright and floody. And I can tell it’s very efficient since it doesn’t get hot as easily as my Zebralight SC63w.

I chose a very simple UI: L~~M~~>H, it’s just what I need and in the right order.

I would recommend this light to anyone who is into flashlight or just want a solid tool.

I actually got to test my E2L over the weekend camping, and I must say I was impressed with it. It lit up the trails extremely well. I could hear others as I walked past campsites say “Wow! Look at how bright that flashlight is!” The E2L is my new favorite EDC. Thanks Jaxman for this wonderful light! Let’s hope the E2L will be offered for sale many, many years from now! It’s perfect!

Just a few days later after camping, I received my official Jaxman holsters from AliExpress. They seem to be of good quality. I have one minor quible though. The snap button, on the inside of the holster is exposed. This will scratch up the light after a while. I’d like to suggest in future productions that some kind of cloth cover this exposed part. Lucky I found a solution. Allen’s Fabric Fusion permenant fabric tape. Got it at Michael’s craft store. All I did was cut a piece, insert it inside the holster, and it works wonderfully.

hi, friend, the Aliexpress did not give us the Paypal payment option. As a seller,we cant decision of payment solutions.

We accept Paypal payment, but it have to be a off line deal.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. Really loving the E2L. It’s one of my favorites in my collection. Thanks for making it!

Will E2L be offered in 5700K natural white like the E2 version? There was not a reply for my question from previously.

I can’t speak for DB, but my pleasure on my part. :+1:
It actually was not real funny, it was kinda sad…… :frowning:
Utterly amazing, but sad none the less.

i was reading the description on that site…they warn people of using nichia version on 6 amps…this means for example not using fet driver…what do you think about it?

Of course Jaxman does not want to sell flashlights that destroy themselves, a 18650 tube light at 6A will do that if left on unattended.

I use FET-drivers on my various E2L mods, but like Jaxman, if some non-flashoholic asks mecto build a E2L, I will put a regulated 3A driver in it.

ok djozz.but the fet driver is with turbo limit…so 45 seconds probably will not damage the torch…not burn the led…or?i wanted this modify…it should be safe no?

A stepdown at 45 seconds (like the BLF-A6 driver) should, just as with the BLF-A6, be ok, even though the power of a triple is high than a single led flashlight. It will be about too hot to touch by then but the flashlight will not damage itself.

Jos , with the jaxman mcpcb the wires got unsoldered once at high temp . I think the pads on the board are pretty small , maybe this could be the issue ?!

I don’t have this issue on others triples and quads …

Setup on e2l is dedomed xp-g2’s s4 with fet driver .

yes i understand.maybe add a copper pill could help…for better cooling…its almost the same as s2+moddings for triple right?

Hi, just wondering what type of 18650 does fits into E2L : flat or button-top ? Or maybe both ?

It fits flat tops and protected button tops.

This is a awesome little light!

Txs

So any battery will please it, marvellous!

Any idea of the beam distance ?
Jaxman seems to not run every mesurement we are used to read from mean “bigs” , angle, candela, runtime (ansi standards) etc.

It’s understandable as a little compagny producing various iterations of a model in little series, but as a consumer, to compare one model to an other I find some technical data missing…

On the other hand, contact is easy : I contacted Jaxman on Ali and they gave me the precise model of TIR optic of the new “Frosted” E2L version : Carclo 10508.

I would like to know (or have an approximative idea) the loss of beam distance and lumens from “regular TIR” to “Frosted TIR”…

My best wished iteration would be a Frosted Nichia 219C in light gray, they told me its in preparation, to be sold soon, but if this optic with Nichia leads to a, say, 500lm 20m beam distance, I would certainly prefer a regular one…

I think I read the beam distance is only 50M. That’s with clear TIR Optics. I’d say at pitch black darkness I’ve gotten farther then that. @ 900 lumens in complete darkness it lights up pretty good. Floody of course.

50m @900lm is quite short indeed, frosted Nichia would be way less, I said “20m” just like that but it seems probable, very nice specific for interior use (cavern, urbex and so) , but less versatile… I may re-consider my wish to a regular clear Nichia :weary:

Looking at those charts for relative emission differences :
Carclo 10508 : Optic 10508 Led Nichia NVSW 219C White | Carclo Optics
10507 : Optic 10507 Led Nichia NVSW 219C White | Carclo Optics

They use 219*C* or B ?

The Aliexpress website for Jaxman says 219B and C but I am not certain of this.

I am using the CW XP-G2 variant. The Nichia variants are a bit on the warmer side.

Ok, Joson Bo replied me that he will use Nichia 219 C 5700K

He told me that he encounters somme issues, very slow down visiting BLF pages , that’s why we read him far less than expected
