This has been finding many of my orders PostNL Netherlands Post shown as carrier but the actual site not finding anything by tracking code yet. These tracking codes show like NL12345… , RS123… etc. and Sky56 seems to be the first part carrier and PostNL starts to track and show their own codes much later.
Yes, because it will take a while before FedEx actually gets a hold of the package. The package first needs to reach US, and as it turns out, my latest BG order is being shipped by Yun Express, which is some local carrier in China that’s going to deliver it to FedEx in the US.
When you look up your tracking number on FedEx.com, it should show you a reference number. That reference number is the related tracking number of the local carrier in China, and you can punch in that reference number at 17track.net or PackageRadar.com (or similar site) to see its progress while it’s still in China and before FedEx shows any tracking info on the US end.
Need a much larger test to get accurate results. Out of a ton of orders, there is no clear winner. Sometimes a vendor will get it here in a week or so and other times that same vendor will take 6 or 8 weeks. Order and forget until it shows up, write down the order dates and every week or so check that it is not getting to the paypal deadline.
I recently placed an order on GB, 6 items and the weight was 1.2Kg. The only shipping options were free 15-25 days and $7.54 via sweden post, crazy thing is that the paid shipping method says 15-30 days.
I chose free shipping at the time, but later realized if I removed one specific item from the cart the priority line option shows up. Already contacted GB to cancel that item and ship the rest via priority line…
Update on this. It took 14 days. The package spent quite a number of days sitting somewhere in Cali, in customs possibly, waiting to be handed over to FedEx.
thanks, that one finds my gearbest order from Sept 14, and says the package in the USA since Sept 25 (11 days after I ordered), but as of today, another 12 days later, there is no record at Fedex nor USPS of the package
none of the other tracking sites can find my order,
nor does the gearbest order tracking work, it says: Sorry, your shipping information has not updated yet!
So far it has been 23 days and no Joy
my last Gearbest order took 21 days to my door
my last Banggood order took 14 days to my door
Gearbest is sloooow, and not my first choice, if I can find the item on Banggood, I will buy there first
shipped with the free standard registered… not sure whats going on if i knew this crazy slow i would glady paid for the slighty expensive shipping, the 7-25 days on free is clearly a joke…
also have an order from gearbest a nitecore tip that was shipped also with standard i think, shall be interesting if that gets here first.
2017-10-06 11:05:15Item is ready for transport
But gearbest so far has never let me down, usually within 2 weeks or so i have always got my stuff. Compared to banggood that might be my first and only order.
Between Sept. 22 and Sept. 30, I placed 3 orders each with Banggood (22nd, 26th, and the 27th) and Gearbest (23rd, 27th, and 30th).
The Banggood orders (totals came to $37, $19, and $59) all included free shipping, reported as shipped in the next day, and the tracking numbers worked. All 3 packages are currently inside the U.S. & on track to be delivered in under 20 days.
The Gearbest orders (totals came to $14, $43, and $18) had shipping fees of $2 - $5, took 5-6 days to report as shipped, and all the tracking numbers simply report back as “package info sent to FedEx/UPS”, with 17track, Package Radar, and Aftership all failing to find the current location of the packages. So I have no idea when these packages are due to arrive, but I doubt it is anytime soon, as I would think FedEx and UPS would give more information if they were in the country.
