I received the E02H from Manker.com for the review.
.
.
The E02H is the same light as the E02: a EDC 1xAAA with high output than most other lights of the segment, with a L shaped construction, an electronic switch on the head and a magnet in the tailcap… But now finally the E02H brings what the E02 lacked: an headband to use the E02 as an headlamp!
The E02H is available in several colorations, and with a XP-G3 Cool White emitter, or a Nichia 219C Neutral one. I got the XP-G3.
.
.
Also, new packaging for the E02H.
.
.
Here is the E02H with the E02 I got. The E02H comes with clip and spare o-rings.
.
.
My E02H is well anodized and has a vibrant, eye catching, red color.
.
.
The threads are anodized and physical lockout is possible. Note that the head of the E02H is glued to the body.
.
.
The Headband itself has some color to it, and the tissue has more stiffness compared to the other headbands I tried.
.
.
The rubber mount for the light holds the light in place with a tight fit, even when the light is inclined.

Beamshots at 0.5 meters from the wall
The small reflector will give a wide beam with a wide spot.
.
.
The spill comes out of the lights almost horizontally, probably due to the bezel with the reflective finish. This means that the light will be a good candidate to enlighten your walking plan.

My thoughts
The light is well built and finished.
The magnet is strong enough to hold the light upside down or horizontally.
The max output of the E02H is impressive for a AAA battery, and I found that using non Eneloop quality batteries will make the max output significantly lower. The regulation is also good, not many AAA lights can get flat plots.
I like that the moonlight mode can be set from a super low firefly mode, do a generally more usable low mode (I couldn’t measure the output, but with my eye meter is more or less a lumen).
I like that the light can give you quick access to lowest, highest and last used mode.
The E02H finally got the headband that deserved. The E02H is a great all around compact and light AAA headlamp.
I still feel the lack of another mode, at 120-150 lumens.
Thanks to: AntoLed for the cameras advices and the luxmeter.
Here are all my reviews on BLF
Thanks for the review! I’m very fond of my E02 and it makes sense to want a headband with it (in my case though, my wife will abandon me if I start wearing headlamps).
That said, this headband is too busy to my taste, more a screaming Manker advert than a piece of gear.

+1. Maybe that’s just Dutch women. At least I will have to bring my own tent camping.
wonder if manker will make an 18650 version some day?
I’ve been eying this little cute L shaped AAA light for some time…
Now i’m wondering how efficient it can be as a headlight? How much can you do with so few lumens except reading or doing something at arms length? Can you walk outside in the dark? Just wondering…
BTW: it’s not easy to find… Not on BG or GB. FT has a limited choice of emitters and body colors… The only place seems to be Manker on AE or EB. Any coupon available?
great torch
this would be a special edition of BLF
he would certainly be interested

Thanx for review
I just got this headlamp 2 weeks ago, very impressed running 1.5v lithium non rechargeable
I also bought E02H recently in action. I also bought E03H. Both in the Nichia LED version. Nice and quality headlights. It’s just a shame that H03 can not be powered by a 3.7 volt Li-Ion battery.
E02H – E03H – Nicron H12

Price good, offer unusable. Nichia LED is not available in any E02, E02H and E03H flashlight versions. Nichia LED will be available for a discounted price?
.
confirmed, no Nichia available…They were. Got two of them with 219C (non-H models). I guess this is a clearance sale?
Spitzbube.
Nichia LED was available on first day of sale, quickly sold out.
Yep, I got one before they were gone
Did anyone receive theirs yet or get a tracking number?
Yes, mine shipped (with Nichia

I got a tracking number but nothing shows up yet
I ordered a nichia on the 12th. tracking says it got to nyc on the 19th. still don’t have it though.
Manker got back to me, quickly!mines on the way
The Aliexpress last two pieces Manker E02H AAA Headlamp with Nichia LED.

^ And about 20 more of the Nichia 219C (model E02) in grey or red if you don’t need the headband.
AliExpress.
My E02H Nichia, ordered on the 12th, arrived with me in the UK on 23rd. Just in time for Xmas!
Oh, that Nicron H12 looks pretty good in real life !
And so does the E03 actually.
Okay, i ordered an E03H too.
Only XPL HI available, but i like a challenging emitter swap.
(I assume it’s built similar to the E02)
Thanks for the heads up! There’s actually 10 left at this moment.
thanks fort the links
I just gave in and ordered a red E02 w 219c
(no headband)
cheap thrills
I broke down and ordered the E03H XPL too. I really wanted the Nichia but that sold out quickly.
Still, an AA angle light with magnetic tail, unique built-in diffuser, and regulated output is just so practical for close-up work and too tempting to pass up at clearance price.
Yes, the seller added another 15 pieces to the sale.
I bought another four pieces of E02H. 2x gray with Nichia LED, 1x red with Nichia LED, 1x black with XPG LED.
Mine just came today. Really nice quality little light. Good clip, good headband, strong magnet, so lots of attachment options. Got the nichia 219c and comparing it to the Tool AAA nichia 219bt I think I really like the Tool better. Maybe the tints are just different but to my eye the B is a little whiter and cleaner.
