TK's Emisar D4 review

Got shipped from intl-outdoor (219c) on july 31, paid for a tracking (hk post), until now, the tracking is not found… Ordered another one (xpl hi) from intl-outdoor 2 days ago, paid for the tracking, didn’t received tracking number, send 2 emails, no response. I am a little bit worried about intl-outdoor,

Any advice?

I added tracking the next day. Took a few days to show up but worked great.

I got my tracking number after 5 days of order placed and shipping notice on the 10th day, i should received my D4 today if not then it should be on Monday. So total transit time 14 days not bad. Could be the worst weekend for me :disappointed:

Hank is a trusted seller here, dont worry you’ll get your D4 it just take time.

I just noticed that Richard is largely out again.

But the shocking thing is, that there are no reviews on his web site. Now that is a crime.

Come on team lets show the love.

Ok my D4 might arrived on Monday, the mail man came today and only bring different order so No D4 for the weekend  got to wait till Monday.

Mine reached my home yesterday. Grey with 219C. Get scorching hot in 20s, that thing is insane !
The UI is a joy to use, I set the temp setting and tested all the little details of TK UI. A true gem for 40 bucks !

When did you order yours?

I’m expecting the exact same one from intl-outdoor (ordered jul 27) and a black xpl (ordered aug 1) and the wait for this light is killing me.
I usually avoid looking at the tracking but can’t help it. The nichia is apparently in the custom’s Roissy hub since the 9th… i hope it wont get stuck there for a week or more as it happened before. It’s only been two weeks since order so there’s nothing unusual so far. Maybe today or saturday… :weary:

A weird thing happened to me when ordering from intl-outdoor. I got the light with a week of ordering it and it came from England. Anyone know what that’s about? Does Hank have a warehouse there?

I have noticed that he often uses Royal Mail as his shipping agent and that means that the goods normally is shipped via the UK (not that he has any office there).

Ah, I see! Thanks for the clarification!

 :stuck_out_tongue:

I just received my first (18350/219C) and it is insanely bright for it’s size.
Quality is superb and UI is a new masterpiece from ToyKeeper.
Now I just have to figure out a way to attach it to my keyring…

The lumens for the blink are one of the only things that bother me on this awesome light. I keep it manually locked out often and then in the middle of the night twist the bottom to have a pretty bright double flash in a dark room with eyes adjusted to the dark.

Oops! Did I do Thayat?

For the blink-on, You can always cover the head while screwing the tail cap on. Or close your eyes for that brief instant.

:person_facepalming:

Edit: If you’re powering it up, your dark adjusted eyes are fixing to require to some adjustment anyway, right? lol Master the click and hold so it starts in moon… been doing this for a few years now with TK’s own ramping firmware. Wink

Sorry, couldn’t help it. Must be the pain. Or the meds

Has anyone tried the Nichia 319 in this D4? Wondering too how 4 XP-E2 in green would work out? Too much power? Maybe if using the 18350 and avoiding turbo when a fresh cell is installed?

Here’s just to verify what is obvious. Efficacy stays exactly the same on lower output within the 7135 range. Little nicks on the orange graph is me bumping into the setup while cleaning…
