Ha ha what ever works! I have been weighing up the sc62d …………….crazy bit what actually appeals is the 320lm high which is 3hrs…………….super useful that, 1 click i get 320lm(ish) and know i have at least 3hrs of use(enough for a day in work). This light could become my work EDC light, more pocketable than my 6p/G2 and m20vn 219b!
ZL’s are sure addictive, already i have 2 more planned to make my total of……………well only 4(not too bad after all :innocent: )
If you dont have a 4500k xhp35 in your collection, then i would say its a good choice. I was not too bothered about a HI version(mkIII) as i prefer a less focused hot spot for general uses(less chance of being dazzled and easier on my eyes within 5m or so distance). Still not ruling one out though…………….damn this flashaholism
I am really liking the green to, after all not really an excuse to not go green in the sea of black flashlights out there………….
So my next D4 i think will be……………green What LED is another matter. Just be easier to order a black, a green with each of the LED options left(xp-g2 and xpl HI).
Wanted to try out the Philips luxeon T hi cri, so another ZL arrived…….sc62d. The other want was the 320lm high, yes you read correct. One click 320lm, useful all round level for general work tasks. Over 3hrs at 320lm, no step downs or 9hrs of 145lm which is also super useful for the application in mind.
Great! I really like the 4500k xhp35, nice tint, nice powerful floody beam in a super compact light. Regarding ano, all subjective and from my 3 ZL’s they do vary. The sc63w is the darkest and picks up light easy(reflect/shiny). The sc5c is more mat, sc62d is light in comparison. I actually like them all and glad of the different shades tbh, the sc63w does catch my eye the most though………….i really like the dark green on that sample. It may vary batch to batch, dont know much on their process and whats involved.
Here is another shot
I do like the different shades so would not change any of the lights so far, actually prefer it :+1:
My next ZL is looking to be the sc600fd neutral(xhp50) with the frosted (flood) lens……….after that i think i will just wait for the mk4 and see what reports come in.
Thanks for this shot!
I love my SC52 and SC62 anodized colour and “feeling”, the SC5 mK II is a little dark for my taste, and your SC63 seems as “very solid” colour, I think that old are beautiful than this…. but I will need see with my eyes …for my final opinion
