Main difference I’ve noticed between V1.9 and V2.0 is that V1.9 has some bugs.
With my V1.9 light, I’ll start off in moonlight and after a second it will occasionally jump to max turbo…. not good if you happen to be staring into the emitters admiring the pretty tint. Don’t ask me how I know…. :smiling_imp:
I’ve also noticed that sometimes my V1.9 light will start in moonlight and then step up to a low brightness on its own even when not being touched.
In all other respects it functions just like V2.0. However, V2.0 is better because it has no bugs.

Yep. If that happens, then you can reset the prediction table by loosening the tailcap to remove power to the driver and it will temporarily reset the bug until you hit thermal protection again.
We have already had two batches of them come and go, and we are waiting for another batch to arrive.
Just a heads up: we have more D4 that came in this morning and we are going to be finishing up testing in the next few hours, so look for them to hit the website later this evening.

Is it possible to get the 30mm FET+7135 Driver – 2S Momentary – Convoy L6
with the D4 firmware?
The D4 firmware is kind of a stripped down Narsil. Most noticable is it lacks memorized levels.
It would be better to ask if full Narsil was available.
Yes, but I would change the firmware so that it only uses the 7135 for moonlight.
---No offense to Tom, but I haven't been a big fan of Narsil's UI---too complicated. I played with it early on and it was a pain for me to figure out, so I could imagine the frustrated e-mails I was going to receive if I offered it on any drivers. I also haven't received many requests for it, so I never got around to optimizing it for any drivers. Maybe it has changed enough in the past year to change my opinion of it, but I will have to look at it again and see.

We also ordered more Aspire 18350s about three weeks ago, but I haven't heard anything about shipment yet. I am checking up with them (they were slow last time too).

Added D4 as an option on the 30mm FET+7135 and got it all tweaked for 2S. If there is enough demand for Narsil, I will add that as well.

Plan on putting this in my S70S. Any forceen problems?
None that I can see except the size. The S70s is smaller than 30mm, but I can’t remember exactly what it was. 27mm or so.
What did you have to change for 2S? Could I get a copy?
From what I recall, it didn’t have code to handle voltage measurements on 2S, or at least the comments suggested that it might not work (and I didn’t try it).
Thank you for posting this Richard. I saw it and was able to make an order later that night for a green Nichia version. It was shipped the next day and received yesterday, so I had time to mess around with it over the weekend. Thanks again for such prompt and thorough service!
