Nope
we need to test the mass pm sending through BLF, based on Mr.Scotts program, reducing human error, in the mean time hope to receive some pics of improvements made on the GT by LT.
Then mass pms are going to be send with further instructions.
You search on amazon for “shoulder strap” and find one that you like.
I don’t think lumintop is going to bother making their own when there are plenty of cheap and good ones already available everywhere.
I hope to mod it with an XHP70.2 in the prototype but I am waiting for the mcpcb. Lumintop is suppose to have it made and send it with the samples. It should be an almost drop in mod if all goes well.
An XM-L2 would be kinda pointless as it would offer both less throw and less lumens then the stock LED.
An XP-L HI would be about half the lumens and basically the same throw but could be done with something like a TA46 LDO driver. Even the stock buck driver could be adjusted to work with it if you wanted but we don’t have a working parts list for that setup yet.
Personally the xhp35 and XHP70.2 are the 2 best options for this light IMHO. Although you can be someone will toss an XP-G2 in one.
No idea what the Kcd would be yet, a lot less then the stock XHP35, but it would have a much larger hotspot and could honestly be more useful in the real world.
Won’t know more until the next Sample arrives with the mcpcb and LED to test.
The practical limit for the driver is around 5A at 12V (same as 10A at 6V). So that is about the limit of what I will push it to. Plus heat will already be a big problem, pushing it harder will only make it worse.
For those that really want max power at the cost of anything else, you could push it a bit further with some steps taken to cool the driver.
It very likely could be more impressive for Flashlight noobs then the stock LED. I think that it could give a very useful combo of throw and lumens, it should still throw ~1000m if I had to take a very rough guess which is plenty for most tasks.
