Nope
we need to test the mass pm sending through BLF, based on Mr.Scotts program, reducing human error, in the mean time hope to receive some pics of improvements made on the GT by LT.
Then mass pms are going to be send with further instructions.
You search on amazon for “shoulder strap” and find one that you like.
I don’t think lumintop is going to bother making their own when there are plenty of cheap and good ones already available everywhere.
I hope to mod it with an XHP70.2 in the prototype but I am waiting for the mcpcb. Lumintop is suppose to have it made and send it with the samples. It should be an almost drop in mod if all goes well.
An XM-L2 would be kinda pointless as it would offer both less throw and less lumens then the stock LED.
An XP-L HI would be about half the lumens and basically the same throw but could be done with something like a TA46 LDO driver. Even the stock buck driver could be adjusted to work with it if you wanted but we don’t have a working parts list for that setup yet.
Personally the xhp35 and XHP70.2 are the 2 best options for this light IMHO. Although you can be someone will toss an XP-G2 in one.
No idea what the Kcd would be yet, a lot less then the stock XHP35, but it would have a much larger hotspot and could honestly be more useful in the real world.
Won’t know more until the next Sample arrives with the mcpcb and LED to test.
The practical limit for the driver is around 5A at 12V (same as 10A at 6V). So that is about the limit of what I will push it to. Plus heat will already be a big problem, pushing it harder will only make it worse.
For those that really want max power at the cost of anything else, you could push it a bit further with some steps taken to cool the driver.
It very likely could be more impressive for Flashlight noobs then the stock LED. I think that it could give a very useful combo of throw and lumens, it should still throw ~1000m if I had to take a very rough guess which is plenty for most tasks.
I sure do hate to mention this but today I happened to look at the list, and I think I am listed for an awful lot of lights.
I do love this light but from what I’m seeing not maybe 8 lights or more,
I read the OP and I guess this is some new way of keeping track but originally I requested only one with hopes of a second light.
My first number was under 500 and this was last year I think, and second light request was at 1200 something, I could be wrong on this, so forgive if so as I’m on a few lists, but today what I’m seeing I’m not wrong about or perhaps there’s something I just don’t understand,
Like for example, has anyone acctually requested to buy this many lights, I do know I wanted 2 lights only, one for my right hand and one for my left hand, that is a lot of lights here, there nice but, I’m not quit this rich,
581 T18
695 T18
708 T18
675 T18
676 T18
677 T18
678 T18 and I actually think there was more but I stopped looking, the quick math if I were to actually want to buy this many GT lights is … ah, steep at the moment.
So OK trick question, what is it I am not understanding please, secret code, special program that really wants me to have as many of these lights as possible,… ??
I had been watching and had been waiting for PM from Neal for $14 and first light I think at $111 or so, and my second light at $150, but now I don’t know anything at all except that is a pile of lights,
Thanks for the HELP>>> I feel panic or something anyhow … wow, but THE MILLER will take care of me, ahhhhahha oh wow. PLEASE Explain what I am not understanding…!
I am dumbfounded, and maybe just dumb but Thank you,
This is what I found: Those in countries where DHL shipping causes lots of taxes ask alternative, and the GT will be send in two parcels.
What does it mean? All lights will be sent by DHL, but if your countrie has some Tax issues (like the Netherlands) they will send it in 2 parcels? Then the amount is still too high and we have to pay 2 times the taxes. 1 for each parcel.
