Yep, those are the ones made in China. They used to sell Japan-made eneloop Lite up till 2015-2016 when they changed to stock them from China. These are rated at 5000 cycles, while the Japanese ones are rated 3000 cycles. I actually bought some of the lite ones in Japan as well.
I have some Panasonic Eneloop Lite AAA for the Japan market (made 2015 Jun in Japan) that have the 5000 cycles rating on the packaging.
Have just ordered some new Panasonic Eneloop Lite AA and AAA. Will check whether the new ones are made in Japan or China. This ebay seller j-stop advertises them as Made in Japan. They have been trustworthy thus far.
Amazing work, really helpful guide for buying Eneloop batteries. I checked the AA batteries that came packaged with Panasonic BQ-CC17 charger, and they are BK-3MCCA models, from updated 4th gen. Label says they’re made in Japan, with 70% of charge after 10 years in the package, looks the real deal. I bought it from a guy who seems to have imported it from the USA, because of the NEMA plug and lack of Euro plug adapter. I thought about buying more Eneloop batteries from the likes of ebay, Aliexpress and Gearbest, but I changed my mind after reading the “Where to buy?” list.
Was wondering the same thing. Couldn’t find a picture of the back of the blister where it says where it is made… NKON often mentions whether certain Eneloops are made in Japan, and since they don’t mention it with the Expedition… I doubt it; but no certainty here.
I updated the Wordpress theme of my website, and now it will hopefully be a little bit faster, and have a cleaner look.
Unfortunately not everything went smooth and had to change a bit here and there.
Yeah the latest Japanese package Eneloop Lites are made in China. I’ve since informed the seller and the listings were changed to remove the MIJ description. Kinda sucks, but the batteries still work. Saw no need to request for a reufnd.
