MTN Electronics: LEDs - Batteries - Lights - Chargers - Hosts - Drivers - Components - 1-Stop-US Source

Thank you for posting this Richard. I saw it and was able to make an order later that night for a green Nichia version. It was shipped the next day and received yesterday, so I had time to mess around with it over the weekend. Thanks again for such prompt and thorough service!

I honestly didn’t get all the hype behind this thing. I understand now…

Enable volt_mon_pin7 option, add tk-calibWight.h header, define 360K option, change ramping level tables, fix a few other broken references in the code. It's not clean enough for you to see it yet, but it is working. Let me get to cleaning it up, then I will share it.

In NarsilM you also have to disable Onboard_LED line

Richard, I read that you are ordering some S2+ hosts in desert tan and clear, but will you be stocking the desert tan flashlight with Biscotti?

Perhaps at a future date, but not in this order.

Can you add this to website please.

Priceless!

(Remember, it is actually Richard’s wife Lisa that prints that receipt… just sayin)

Lisa says the price is $7.95.

Oh that’s too cool!

Any idea if/when any 1.6mm thickness drivers will be in stock again for 17mm or 20mm diameter?

Will you get any convoy s2+ holsters…? They seem to fit the D4 well…

Do you have a fet driver that will run an xhp 70.2 in a convoy l2?

The 20mm should have some. The 17m FET driver is only 1.6mm, and it is an option for the 20mm FET+7135. 17mm, I am not planning on any, at least not for a while.

Efficiency, a difficult assessment as well as tough to maintain.

Richard trys so hard though! Like, I ordered 4 emitters that weren’t available bare, on 16mm Noctigons. I also ordered some quad boards. Richard saw a need and pulled the emitters from the Noctigons then re-flowed them to the quad board. Efficient! And then adjusted the price I paid, efficiency again!

Only problem with the efficiency is that I needed the 4 16mm Noctigons. lol I’ve got well over 100 of the 20mm SinkPAD’s, but somehow I can hardly ever find a 16mm MCPCB in my kit. Oh well, I’ll have to order some I guess, one day, if I can remember to.

I didn’t say this to gripe about anything, but if you, like me, actually want the boards your emitters are on for a different project it might be wise to clarify that in the notes so Richard knows.

Heck, if I’m not careful he’ll have my light half built for me before I can fire up my soldering iron!

Yo Richard…Love Ya Man!

Sorry Dale! I had already reflowed them to see if they would handle direct drive, and assumed that you already probably had a million 16mms laying around.... DOH! I do appreciate your patience.

I got disappointing measurements of the XHP35 “E4-3C” I bought from your shop

XT12GT @5m with cheap Luxmeter

1. measurement
“E4-3C”
2210 Lux —> 55250Lux@1m

new LED reflowed

2. measurement
E2-3C from a BLF member that saw the real label
3610 Lux —> 90250@1m

E2 is the highest flux bin for the XHP35 HI

So you’re thinking Richard received some mislabeled or phony emitters from one of his suppliers?

The E4 3C I did have were from Cutter. From what I could tell, they were the real deal. I sold dozens of them to other BLF members, some of which I know tested them. I also know that V54 used a ton of them in his lights, which he tests in the light box and for throw. Now, we didn't have an E2 to compare against, but what you're measuring is more like C2. I don't do business anymore with Cutter.

At any rate, I find it interesting that you keep posting here about items you have for sale---and that makes me question your motives. I don't have any problem with you selling things, but there are better ways to go about it.

That’s pretty rude, for someone to sell/advertise their products in MTN Electronics’ topic…

I see no advertising text or link, as I posted none
I just pointed out that that LED I received from RMM that he got from cutter does have a way too low lux reading, it is possible they mixed up the good with some bad LEDs when they shipped him E4-3C

I could not test it before as I got my first luxmeter yesterday
