Ultimate TRI EDC Brass Now available

Jdub said it best….
It is a very nice light.
I personally can’t afford it.
Even if I saved my pennies to buy I certainly could not afford to loose it, therefore I can not afford to ever Use it.
Built a few Astrolux SC Copper Quads and the 14500 run time is disappointing.

I never singled you out… I made a blanket statement of “my personal opinion” about how I felt VOB was being treated in his sale thread.
If I marked your post rude… you would know it.

Awesome light and nice to have seen the videos about it.
I hope it sells well.
And yes as a US made and designed light in excellent finish and materials I do think it can be compared to the before mentioned brands.

Bump. Hey VOB any updates on this light? I know its not supposed to be done for a while now, just wondered how (or if) things were progressing?

I’ve not heard anything yet. That is typical though, there have been times when this machines has shipped finish parts to me without even emailing etc first  I will shoot him a message next week though and see where we are at.

No worries, I’m just curious is all. Thanks for the update though.

We’re getting close!

Yes! Those are looking great!

Wish I could afford that 30 pack…
Looking nice

Those are some nice fresh eggs, would love to be able to afford a dozen

Those are absolutely beautiful. Fantastic detail work, it makes me wish, not for the first time, that I could machine a light like that from scratch.

And mine is home

This is a great light. The machining is really fine on this one with a great finish. And the threads are like butter, even the retaining rings. I’ve already had it all apart and you couldn’t ask for much more construction-wise. Its a triple XP-L HI on a FET driver and performs very well.

I really like the size. Its a handful, not really a small light and definitely not lightweight, but its got a great balance and is really easy to hold and operate. Plus it carries well, doesn’t feel nearly as large in the pocket as an 18650 triple. The only thing I changed (so far) is a swap to the 10511 optic. Just a personal preference. Thanks VOB!

Had to add a lighted tailcap to mine. Just…had to

Very nice light. Enjoy it emarkd!

Update:

I swapped in some warm 319a’s into mine, 2x3000k + 1x4000k. I like warm tints.

Also a quick “patina” update. Coming along nicely  I really like this little light.

That warm tint really looks perfect with the brass body of that light. I usually don’t love warm tints, but it is growing on me after seeing that combination you have created there. Well done. I need to stop looking or I will end up eating ramen noodles for a month.

Thanks, I agree with you on this. I understand why VOB didn’t ship them with warm tints. Most folks are perfectly happy at 5000k so that’s probably the right choice from a maker’s standpoint. But I too think the “red metals” like brass and copper are better suited to warm tints. Save the 5000k for something else

I couldn’t afford the price but I absolutely agree that this is a beautiful creation

I believe many members here will have same question here: will it available in “host only” version?

Very nice looking flashlight. Great attention to detail. Using AA size batteries make it unique for a triple. Can it use a 26650 size battery?

I am pretty sure that would be a no on the 26650. I am assuming you were asking to be funny, sorry if I am wrong. And emarkd what type of setup did you do on the lighted tail cap. Looks like multiple colored leds, or is that just the way in looks. Love the color effect of it either way. VOB well done on making this already excellent light in a way that must be relatively mod friendly. Too many high end flashlight makers assume their vision is the best for every buyer, refreshing to see you look at this differently and even offered spare screws to help the process along.
