My point was that if it wasn’t specified I wouldn’t count on it. It adds to the cost. Yes, maybe it would be nice, but it isn’t free and they’re trying to come in at a specified cost. Engraving doesn’t make for a better light, and that’s the goal… a great light. No one is stopping you from having yours engraved if you desire that. Not all of us would want to pay extra for that. Heck, it’s not like there’s a central registry of GT lights and no registrar of the same, so it would perform no function outside of the list in this thread.

i sent the 1 thru 4 info to neal thru an actual email to him
the only comment i put in the paypal notepad was, ” down payment for blf gt light ”
will my info in the email suffice or no ?
do i need to cancel my paypal to him and do another new one ?

I hate DHL, the WORST service in brazil, they lost my packet sent by microsoft in warranty and they did not explain to me in the phone whats happen even in 45 minutes of wait with annoying music, they only telled the packet is in the way and I should to wait……
I placed a “protest” in a especific site “reclame aqui” (after 6 months waiting) and someone give a shitty robotic message with a tracking code which have delivered the packet……… The only problem…… the address was almost 2000 kilometers far away from my house. The question ended there, almost 7 months of wait and the packet is definitely LOST, microsoft sent another packet which arrived 3 days :person_facepalming:
I’m really worried now about this, even the cheapest shipping service (with tracking) I do not have any problem, but DHL, NEVER MORE!
I really want another mode of shipping, DHL certainly will give me headaches and gift someone with this exclusive light :person_facepalming: :confounded:

Since Neal is in China, I assume internationally? Is this correct?

Are we supposed to post that we’ve paid? I figured that the Paypal info would take care of that. Nonetheless, I am baffled as well that my list placement from post #1 is different than the number given me in the PM.
I did pay and put in the PM # as reference (426) which is different than my spot on the original list (493)

I was given a different number as well. I’m number 77 in the list, but the PM had me as number 74. I paid using the number from the PM before I realized there was a discrepancy.

Of course we should be paying for Goods and Services when using Paypal!This way you get a proper receipt of your purchase.
If you are just sending money to Family or Friends that may not present a proper receipt in the eyes of customs.
It is best to use # number tag given in your PM as that is the closest thing among your username that identifies you to LT in this GB.
Original lists are not updated yet but they will most likely show your proper # given in PM .
Preferably not. 555 messages with just that info would be even more annoying than the 100 or so this far. I’ve got to admit this message is not very helpful either, but it’s my quota for “i paid” posts, with the added benefit of someone possibly not posting a “paypal sent” message.

Just to quell a few questions I see being repeated around here:
YOUR NUMBER ON YOUR PM WILL MOST LIKELY DIFFER FROM YOUR NUMBER NO POST #3!!! This is because Post #3 is NOT CURRENT and people have dropped out since it had last been updated. Chances are, your PM # will be 1 or 2 or 3 numbers smaller than what you see in Post #3. I assume it is wisest to use the number given to you on the PM when you make your payment.
USE “PAY FOR GOODS AND SERVICES” INSTEAD OF “FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!” Someone correct me if I’m wrong but the chances of having Neals PayPal account suspended increases substantially when 555 “family and friends” across the globe suddenly send him money for no reason. From the perspective of PayPal (who doesn’t know nor care what a BLF GT is), this type of activity is extremely suspicious and could look like he is attempting some kind of scam, or that he is the victim of some hack or scam. The extra $.96 is so that PayPal knows that this is kind of a business transaction (and the fact that they added this into the payment should be a hint that they want you to use “goods and services”).
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO POST THAT YOU HAVE PAID although there is nothing saying you cannot. We are all excited about this project and the methods to release our excitement are limited. 
Anyhow, I want to seriously thank The Miller and everyone else who actively made the GT a reality. You guys have put some real time, elbow grease, and brain power into this project for almost a year and as far as I can tell, have not gotten paid for any of your efforts. If anything, you guys should at least be getting your own GTs for free. Please know that at the very least, your work is appreciated by a heck of a lot of people here!
