TK's Emisar D4 review

Placed an order for a green nichia D4 thru Int Outdoor. How long to the U.S. Is the shipping? I’m not in a huge hurry, I got the fabulous astrolux s42 to play with! WTF were they thinking?

Took 12 days or so for mine.

Dale, that looks like a sunwayman clip.

What do the ‘blinks in the middle of the ramp’ mean…?

I think it’s the switch from 7135 and FET

Confirmed

Guys, thanks for the answer…

I really don’t know Gunga, it’s a nice fit and the ramp at the end of the clip mates up nice with the head, but if you don’t hold it out slightly when removing the tube from the head for a battery change it’ll scratch the head. (Of course, the tail cap is also removable)

I’ll be going to a shorty tube as soon as it arrives…

(allcool appears to be ‘in the know’. Can u imagine someone not ‘in the know’ trying to figure out that reply?) I’ve been around here over 6 years now and I don’t know what it means.

Purchased mine on July 30th. I have not received the light and tracking info shows no movement. I have emailed Hank several times with no response. I have no idea what the status of my order is. I don’t get it.

Have a look here:

It has already left China and it is in Singapore.

And most likely, it has already left Singapore (Singapore Post are VERY slow in updating tracking, and they often never update it).

Best Regards,

George

Thanks for the info. Tracking info is still vague at best and silence from Hank is not appreciated.

I ordered my Nichia from Int on the 31st. Mine says preparing to ship from Singapore as well. That was updated on the 11th. No updates since then. Wish there was an option for faster shipping. XPL-HI from Mtn came in like 2 or 3 days lol. But having ordered plenty of stuff from CN, I’ve learned to be patient. A month is longer than average but not unusual.

Sounds like we’re in the same boat. Nice to hear that this is not uncommon. I am really looking forward to the arrival of my 219 D4. I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Thanks for your comments.

The blink happens at the boundary between regulated modes and unregulated (er, partially-regulated) modes.

This serves two purposes:

  • A general reference point to show how far up the ramp you are.
  • Let the user know whether to expect brightness to stay steady or drop over time.

This point is indicated by a dashed line on the ramp of the UI diagram, with regulation info off to the side:

I’ve noticed it also blinks at the highest and lowest brightness levels.

XP-L Hi V3 1A CW 6500K on the way!
Originally wanted a Nichia 219CT 83CRI 5000K but changed my mind. I think maybe bcos of lower temperature & higher lumen output. Anyone here think XP-L CW is a bad choice? at $18 bucks extra am seriously need to go FL rehab soon :person_facepalming:

Yes, people requested that it blink at both ends in addition to the point where the power channel changes.

Well, it’s not something I would have picked, nor would most others here in terms of color temperature.

If you went with cool white over neutral white in the XP-L HI just for the difference in output, then I think that was a bit silly. One flux bin is around 7% output, which is less than you can detect without instruments. Accepting worse tint, if your tint preferences are in line with the majority here for an output difference you can’t even see doesn’t sound good to me.

On the other hand, if you like cool white, there’s nothing wrong with that option.

i want one…is there any simpliest way to understand how to use this flashlight? sorry…the picture is for me spain village:))
