Dear DJ,
This thread is about Genuine/Fake Cree LEDs so I am giving you some brain food to think on. Its not commercial.
BTW these are not MY bulbs. I am just the reviewer. And my reviews aren’t sponsored crap. It would help to go through the entire thread in above links as I am comparing this bulb to few others. Hence the Explanation TEXT on pics.
Then I’m mistaken, and sorry about that. I did follow your link and your posts in that automotive forum suggested that you are enthousiastic about the product but also related to the brand. I did not say that your reviews are crap, I just assumed a relationship to the brand. There’s many reviews here on BLF of which the writers are are in various grades related to the sellers of the products they are reviewing, but many are still quality reviews (BLF may be a bit special in that aspect).
My suggestion posting in the car headlight thread was well-meant by the way, I think it is a good idea
1. Sure I would like to take your idea forward and participate more on BLF. I have completed research with some of the Top research teams with respect to LED tints (CCT, CRI, Warm on Dim, Dual tone etc).
2. Am also quite interested in knowing how my posts ended up sounding ‘Brand affiliated’ so I may mend that. Because I purchase all my review units by hard earned cash. Absolutely no Brand patroning. However I also do not step back from suggesting which brands worked well with me and which did’nt. So that many people may follow my purchases.
3. My Specialty is that I keep updating my reviews 2~5~7 years long. I do have some long term data on (limited) products. Feel free to drop me a query on that.
I was looking through the lens and I couldn’t see any marking or lines on the LED. It’s hard to see without taking anything apart, I’m not going to take anything apart with my luck nothing will go back together right.
I’d like to ask how does a fake Cree T6 LED look like?
I’ve got a couple of generic “XML T6” LED flashlights, but I don’t know how to differentiate since I don’t have a known-real XML T6 to compare it with.
I’ve tried taking picture of the LED, but my entry-level digital camera doesn’t focus too well, this is my best shot yet:
