Cletus P1A

Does the Klarus P1A go direct drive on low with 14500 like it does on high? I’m trying to decide between it and it’s big brother the P2A. I’d rather have the 2 AA if I cant use lithiums in the single.

Hi Tecmo, I believe reading somewhere more about this. Maybe a search will show up the thread in mind.

Also, please double check your title: Klatus=Klarus! :)

The co. tells us that the torch goes on direct drive with 4.2V cells. thats beyond regulation range. and therefore it loses all modes (because modes imply regulation). to cut it short,

14500's wont fry the P1A but you will lose Eneloop-High-mode brightness level (140lms?) and the Eneloop-Low-mode brightness level (10lms?) but get some est. 245lms with dimming effect no matter if you set the mode to High or Low.

And as long as nobody refutes this post, this is the end of truth
