Don’t give up so easily. You can still enter and build something new. We have excellent sportsmanship in this “contest”. We help each other if needed. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, or even for spare parts. Several of us have plenty of those too. :person_facepalming:
Not in two months time I still need to finalize my 3d design and budget.
Also I need to check if my design is patent-able and possibly hire a patent attorney to check that it hasn’t been created already.
Once it is patent pending (or I find out it can’t be patented) then I will be able to make forum posts about it
So maybe for next year’s competition it will be ready…
T minus 30 days until the lights are due… just in time for Halloween!
I may not be around that day. To get some spellcrafting components I need, I may be out hunting small children under the hallowed blood moon. But I hope to see everyone’s shiny things the next day.
Oh, I’d like to join, but we are expecting our first child this week, so i don’t think i’ll be able to build something this year…
I do have an idea though, that shouldn’t be too complicated (in theory )
I’m still in but out if that makes any sense.
I’m heading of on holidays and returning after the closing date so I guess l’m out of the comp but still in as I will finish the build.
All the best to the others here building lights and looking forward to reading about the final stages of the builds when l return.
