Good god everyone. Stop harassing customer support about your Q8. Take it easy, your Q8 will appear on your doorstep at some point. It has been in development for over a year, a few extra weeks are a drop in the bucket.

I don’t do pre-orders, ever. The only reason I placed this order was because I thought they were available already. I’ll give it another week and then cancel and move on.
I have held of buying a couple of other lights because they were too close in specs to this one.
I won’t do any more business with Banggood, China warehouse. I’ll continue to buy from the USA warehouse which I have done without problems.
Now to continue Hurricane clean up.
Noticed this night that http://dpdgroup.hk where I could find my parcels tracking has moved to a “domain parking service”. I’m curious what’s going on with DPD. Status of my parcels is “Waiting to fly away” for several days now.
Yeah I found that with my sc4 order, been waiting to fly for a week and now the tracking is dead!
Added to a no eta backorder I’m not impressed with shipping at the moment…

I know it's confusing as heck, but it should ship by the end of this month, maybe sooner - think the 10-10 date is just to cover a worse case, or CYA thing, or didn't get updated.
At 1416 orders place now, but could be a mix now of BG non BLF pre-orders, but I'd think those #'s are small.

Have to wait for the next run. No Problem, at the end, we’ll get a great FL. Price is like a gift.

With some fiddling, like adding a compression strap to hold the light firmly down on the tripod-mount base.
I agree the threaded hole and threaded bolt would be the weak spot there.
And I’d test it with the nut light first — less drama if it broke and went flying.

Turns out, detecting sarcasm online is hard.
Pre-ordered mine just now. Expected Shipping Date:2017-10-14, although I know this is only ballpark estimate. I forgot the add insurance to the order, so hoping for the best!
Do not sign up for change of status notifications - only the delivery notification. I have delivery notifications via SMS Text and I literally get the text within seconds of the mail person scanning it. I get the text, look out my window and the delivery person is right there.
heck yeah, just replace d@mn by dang and h€ll by heck and all reads much nicer 
I wasn't sure how to take it, to be honest, but the three rudeness reports led me to think people were actually offended. :shrug:
Just a reminder that the first week of October is a big holiday week in China (National Golden Day Week). They may be trying to get orders out the door before everybody goes on holiday.
