Laser Bike Light

This is kinda cool.......

Hey kids, make your own bike lane! :)

Fancy, might save someone from getting hit by a drunk cyclist. Hard to miss/fail to see that random alien equipped with this thing.

Thats pretty cool.

That is really cool

Oh man, I wish someone did something Tronesque for bicycles, blue laser or orange laser style!

Blue is easy (~445nm) but orange is more difficult. Combining green & red lasers is the cheapest way to get a clearly orange color.

Just for safety, reflective areas on your shirt or jacket is certainly easier but its not as fun as lasers! Its nice seeing lasers used for safety instead of just as neat 'toys'. Even if there are other ways to be safely seen on a bike.

Oh hey, just realized, this is great for kids who won't wear reflective gear because its "uncool". When I have kids with bikes I'd love to put some on theirs! For safety around kids just keep it under 5mW & add a tilt switches to turn it off if the bike isn't upright. I like blue myself but green lasers are much more visible for the same power.

A bit off topic, butyou could easily apply some EL-Wire to a bike, comes in many different colours.

Or get some LED-Strips from ebay, 5 m in RGB are around $35 complete with a fader unit so you can mix the colour of your liking. Of course this doesn't make pretty stripes on the road, but your bike will look funky ;)

Haha, jesus, now thats awesome!
Probably LED strips in blue wont fit my 2008 Scott Aspect 45 too well, but some orange/deep orange ones could in fact :D! But that could make it all too expensive to mod so probably something readily available is my top priority, like this red laser rear light OP posted about :D!
